Excellent hotel and beach resort. I found it to be nicer in person than the pictures I saw online. Extremely helpful and friendly staff, the housekeeping was spot on. Good pool area and an amazing beach with complimentary sun beds. A good breakfast selection and a nice restaurant which also serves you when you’re at the beach. We ate there multiple times with a nice sunset view. It’s in a good location not too far from Agios Nikolaos and close to other nice beaches/towns too. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed at Faedra Beach for 7 nights and had a wonderful experience. Everything exceeded our expectations! The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and always willing to help, making us feel welcome throughout our stay.
The rooms were clean and well-maintained, with excellent housekeeping every day. The entire property was spotless. The beach is just a short walk away, with crystal-clear water and beautiful views, making it the perfect place to relax.
The atmosphere is peaceful, and the location is ideal for exploring the beautiful island of Crete. A big thank you to the entire team for their warm hospitality and for making our vacation so memorable. We would definitely come back and highly recommend Faedra Beach to anyone visiting Crete!
The overall experience was good. Stayed for 7 nights, the rooms were okay, the cleaning staff was very nice, also the receptionists very helpful and polite, especially the lady with the watermelon hairpin who was always a joy to see. (Sorry I didn't ask for her name)
About the meals: we booked the hotel through a travel agency which didn't mention that dinner was a la carte, not a buffet as we were used to (it was our 5th year in a row trip to Greece with that tour agency), but the breakfast was one of the best we've had. What I personally didn't like was the fact that at dinner time I felt less of a priority and of course the customers who came to eat at the taverna and paid were more important, which I totally understand, but it didn't feel fair because I also paid in advance for 7 dinners. :)
Good location, close to Agios Nikolaos and the beach in front of the hotel is a major plus.
Unfortunately, our stay at Faedra Beach was disappointing overall and did not live up to what we expected for the price.
One of the biggest issues was the food and how overpriced it felt compared to everywhere else we ate in Crete. A meal for just two of us at the hotel could easily cost around €70, while we could go into town and have a great meal for five people for around €100. The difference in both value and experience was hard to ignore.
The housekeeping was also disappointing. There seemed to be a lack of proper cleaning and sweeping, and our room wasn’t maintained to the standard we expected. More concerning, housekeeping entered our unit even though we had the “Do Not Disturb” sign displayed on the door. Having that sign ignored made us uncomfortable and felt like a lack of respect for our privacy.
Another frustrating part of the experience was the constant attempt to sell additional services. On our very first day, what should have been a quick five-minute conversation turned into roughly a 20-minute sales pitch covering seemingly every service the hotel offered. After travelling and arriving at a hotel, you want to settle in and enjoy your vacation, not immediately feel pressured into spending more money.
That being said, the absolute best part of our stay was the staff at the beach: Arbi, Soto, Alex, Annie, Kotsi, and Theodora. They were friendly, welcoming, and genuinely made our time there enjoyable. They made every euro we spent at the beach feel worth it and were easily the highlight of our experience.
Unfortunately, great staff can only make up for so much. Between the overpriced food, disappointing housekeeping, our “Do Not Disturb” sign being ignored, and the constant upselling, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
A huge thank you to Arbi, Soto, Alex, Annie, Kotsi, and Theodora. They were the bright spot of our stay and absolutely deserve the recognition.
Our holidays in Creta!
We had pleasure to pass part of our holidays in this hotel in Creta in front of sea and it was all nice. Position is strategic respect Augiaus Nicolaus if you had car and near Volusimi beach (Caribbean Creta Beach).
I suggest this!
