Location in a good area only one hour away from Barcelona and train station only 10 minutes away from the hotel.
Family of four sharing one room with two double beds pushed together.
Nice little bit in the back of our room with two deck chairs to chill out on.
Lovely Pools, Children’s pool adults pool and four slides my children loves it!
The food is okay it’s the same sort of food every night sometimes they change it up.
The staff are nice and polite. You just walked down the road and you have a strip of shops that you can have a look and get some souvenirs.
There is A beach just across the road.
All in all is a nice little family holiday.
Location is really good, at the end of the main road/strip so quite of an evening but not so far away you have to walk ages.
Hotel is "okay" - Rooms are standard, bed isn't comfortable but shower is nice but dirty. Balcony furniture is basic. Air-con is effective and consistent.
Food quantity and quality is good for all meals. However it's like a school canteen with no order and almost feels like a free-for-all. However, this isn't the hotels fault but a reflection of the guests who don't understand how to be patient and queue.
Staff are helpful and friendly, lifeguards are attentive and exactly how you'd expect them to be. Kids pool is excellent and our three year old loved it. Again, just older children can be a pushy and fast.
Honest Feedback – Unfortunately Not 4-Star Standard
The location was alright, and the pools are definitely the biggest positive of this hotel. They are great and probably where the hotel earns most of its points. However, unfortunately, this hotel did not meet my expectations of a 4-star hotel.
The pool bar staff were particularly disappointing. Some were rude and seemed uninterested in serving guests. The lady with the bleach-blonde hair was especially unpleasant. We would be standing waiting to be served while staff huddled together chatting, looking over at us and then continuing their conversations or messing around instead of serving us. It was very frustrating and not the level of customer service I would expect from a 4-star hotel. On the other hand, the gentleman working on the cocktail bar was lovely and a credit to the hotel.
The staff in the main hotel were generally polite and friendly, but again, the overall service felt very basic. Staff would sometimes talk to each other while serving you, almost as though you weren’t there, which I found quite rude.
The rooms were a major disappointment. They are very small and basic, with no table or chairs inside the room and not even a proper bin. The rooms and bathrooms are dated and really need refreshing. There was a lot of limescale in the bathroom and mould between some of the tiles. Our shower door was broken and the bathroom sink repeatedly blocked up.
We were a family of five and essentially had three beds pushed together into one small room. The balcony was also tiny, with just a small table and two chairs. For a family of five, the room felt extremely cramped and was not what we expected at all from a 4-star hotel.
The TV was also very old. You couldn’t use Netflix or YouTube, which nowadays I would expect to be available, particularly in a family hotel.
Housekeeping, however, were lovely. Our room was cleaned every day and they were one of the positives during our stay.
We were all-inclusive, and the food at the pool bar was disappointing. It was mainly processed, frozen food that had been deep-fried. It would have been nice to have more variety and some fresher options available.
I didn’t actually mind the cup deposit system, as it did help keep the pool area clean. Unfortunately, though, we had two of our cups stolen while we were swimming, and a pair of Crocs were also stolen from our sunbed. We reported this to hotel staff, but unfortunately nothing was really said or done about it. 🤦🏼♀️ So I would advise keeping an eye on your belongings around the pool.
The main restaurant was very basic. Breakfast had very little that my children would eat, so most mornings they ended up having banana and boiled egg. 🤦🏼♀️ Lunch was okay but repetitive and basic.
The evening meals were much better on the themed nights. The hotel really did make an effort on those evenings and the food was lovely. Unfortunately, we stayed for 7 nights and only had two themed evenings, meaning the other five nights were quite boring, basic and repetitive, with nothing particularly special.
Overall, there were definitely positives — the pools are great, the housekeeping team were lovely, the cocktail bar gentleman was fantastic and some of the main hotel staff were friendly.
However, when you consider the price we paid and compare what we received with what we expected from a 4-star hotel, I personally don’t feel it lived up to that rating.
Would I stay here again? Unfortunately, no. For the price we paid and the standard we experienced, I would choose somewhere else next time.
The rooms are very basic with a fridge that doesn't keep anything cool but they were clean.
The toilet kept getting very hot (very hot water in the cistern) also the showers some mornings were scolding hot with no cold water to balance it out. There is definitely a plumbing problem. The bathroom also smelled of sewage. I pointed it out to reception but it's still the same.
Also no tea or coffee making equipment in the room that's a first for us. The air conditioning does nothing to cool the room. At night there was a night club near by with bass going till 6 in the morning also some guest where partying in the rooms till 3 in the morning shouting with no consideration for other guests. There can be quite a long wait for the lifts so we used the stairs all the time so if your bad on your feet you will be waiting a while.
The food was always cold, its a shame because it would have been nice food if it was hot. The plates were dirty and was a struggle finding knifes and forks and cups. The drinks machines kept running out and some days not even turned on so you had to drink water. Again no teabags. The bar only had one beer on Amstel no other alternatives only shorts. The pool was really good and the kids loved it, very limited snacks on offer mostly chips and nuggets and burgers. If you did get a drink of beer it would be a quarter of a pint so you spent most of the day queuing. This is not a 4 star hotel it's more 3. I would not recommend going all inclusive because there are some good restaurants and bars offering better food and drinks. This hotel seems to be getting the same bad reviews and doing nothing to rectify the problems. I would avoid.
We are having a fantastic stay!
Reading some of the reviews while we’re still here has given us a good laugh. Ahh yes, because apparently this place is a complete disaster of cold food, broken TVs, useless air con, dead fridges, endless queues, rude staff, and housekeeping that never shows up—how terribly believable.
* “The food is cold and awful.” (Meanwhile, we’ve been enjoying fresh, hot food every day with plenty of choice.)
* “The TV doesn’t work.” (We’re literally watching the World Cup as we write this.)
* “The air conditioning doesn’t work.” (Our room is lovely and cool.)
* “The fridge doesn’t work.” (Yet we’re drinking ice-cold water from it while writing this review. 😂)
* “The lifts have huge queues.” (We’ve never waited more than a minute.)
* “The bar has long queues.” (There are always several staff working, and we’ve never had to queue.)
* “Housekeeping is poor.” (Our room has been cleaned every day with fresh towels and linens.)
* “The staff are rude.” (We’ve found everyone friendly and helpful)
Everyone has their own experience, but these complaints couldn’t be further from what we’ve experienced. We are having a fantastic stay!
