Oh where do I even start. I know, I’ll start with Katerina and Manolis who work at the seaside bar. They were both just absolutely fantastic, from knowing your taste and recommending drinks, to remembering your stories and having a genuine connection with you. These two individuals would genuinely make you miss leaving the place.
The professionalism, passion and energy from these two people genuinely elevate the entire experience and really give you that 5 star hotel feeling. Jennifer and I ( Jack ) wish them and their team the best in life.
We will certainly be back, to experience this beautiful destination. The hotel could not get two better staff members, so well suited and happy to be in the job. Seeing their genuine passion whilst working stood out soo much.
Many thanks to Katerina and Manolis for making our stay that extra bit special. They both deserve everything in life, recognition from managers and certainly, a raise. They will be the reason we visit again.
Regards,
Jennifer & Jack from Ireland
Kakkos Beach is an exceptionally pleasant place for a peaceful and relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings. We were also very impressed by the excellent and varied selection of food, which was well above the standard typically found in comparable seaside hotels.
The resort’s greatest asset, however, is its exceptionally helpful, professional, and accommodating staff. From the reception team and bell staff to the technicians working throughout the resort, everyone made a genuine effort to ensure that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Special thanks go to the reception staff and the reception manager, who handled our requests with exceptional care and flexibility, often going far beyond standard procedures.
Kakkos Beach left a truly excellent impression on us. We definitely have every reason to return soon, and next time we would be delighted to stay even longer.
The staff are the best that we have ever met! Helpful, friendly, efficient and it was a pleasure getting to know them!! Sat beside the sea to eat and drink was such a beautiful and calming experience. Food and drink was amazing. We never felt the need to visit the a la carte restaurant.
You definitely need beach/sea shoes as beach is pebbles and steep leading into sea. You can swim in the sea easily. Overall a wonderful holiday. Thank you.
😊
We travelled with Sunweb and stayed at Kakkos Beach the adults-only hotel.
First of all: be aware of the transfer time! It took us around 2 hours to get to the hotel and almost 3 hours on the way back depending on how many hotel stops there are along the way.
Kakkos Beach shares the reception, gym and spa with Kakkos Bay which is the family hotel next door. Luckily, you hardly hear any screaming children thanks to the fact that hotels have separate beach areas. There is also no entertainment but we came here specifically to relax and unwind so for us that was actually perfect🤩
The beach area was really nice. There were always enough sunbeds in the adults-only section and it was lovely and quiet. The water was clean warm and gets quite deep right away. The beach is pebbly but the stones aren’t sharp so walking wasn’t painful. Although swim shoes are still a good idea because pebbles get SUPER hot in the middle of the day 😅
The beach bar is open from 10:00–23:00 and serves local drinks. There are also sandwiches around 11:30–12:30 + sweets and fruit during the day. The drinks were okay although there is definitely some room for improvement. We’ve had better in other all-inclusive hotels.
The pool has an amazing view and not that many sunbeds but surprisingly we could always find free ones.
And big special thanks to the staff! ❤️ Manos was very funny and talkative (definitely not a complaint 😂). Rafalia and Gerasimos were professional, hardworking and always made us feel welcome at the main restaurant. There were also two lovely gentlemen probably in their 40s whose names I unfortunately forgot. Bartenders were also super nice: Katarina and The sisters working in the evenings. Everyone made the stay feel very welcoming.
Overall Kakkos Beach was exactly what we wanted: peaceful, relaxing, place right next to the sea and has tremendously lovely staff. There are a few things that could be improved especially the drinks, some variety in the food menu, gym but still we’d happily stay here again
❤️
This is a truly beautiful and relaxing hotel. The atmosphere is tranquil and the bar and restaurants offer high quality and attentive service. This is a location to escape, relax and retreat. The beach always has space, and it is a fanastic place to swim, which we did many times a day. They can facilitate convenient and cost effective car hire to allow simple exploration of Eastern Crete.
If you like to relax, want great food, nice rooms and good service in a friendly and we'll maintained hotel, this is the oalxe for you.
