Left this hotel today after a week all inc.
The Los Zocos Impressive has an Impressive foyet. That's kind of where it ends though.
It's not 'bad', per se, but it just flatters to deceive. The rooms are ok, but very basic. The beds were not particularly comfortable, and the pillows were awful.
Food is a big buffet. It has most of what you could want and has some variation day to day - but none of it is particularly good. It feels very much like it's just there to get you thru without starving. None of it stood out at all. We ate out 3 times just to taste something decent. The free beer is - as is the case at most all inc. hotels - coloured water. I don't drink much, and one afternoon had 9 cups just to prove my point. Zero effect.
The pools are ok. The quiet pool is much better than the busier one. The latter attracts quite a lot of riff-raff. Lots of heavy smoking, heavy drinking, heavy eating people from Yorkshire - and that's just the women.
My biggest issue was the staff. None of them are rude, none of them are horrible - all them are simply robotic. Just very, very functional. They show almost zero personality at any time. Nobody asked how we were, and not even if we enjoyed our stay on checking out. If we had a question, we got an answer - but Google would have been friendlier.
All in all, they supplied a room, food and drinks. But they didn't supply anything more than would have made our experience just that bit better. For 3 grand for 7 nights, there's much, MUCH better out there. We'd never come back.
The room/apartment we stayed in was by the road. We hered the cars and buses go past but they calmed down so it wasn’t a constant problem.
The food could have been better, with more variety for the dinner. There was a bit of a variety but could be improved with the addition of vegetables.
The local area was stunning (even though there was construction going on across the road). Only about 5 minutes from the nearest beach. Two shops located right outside the entrance so no need to walk far away from the hotel.
Staff were friendly and inviting.
Also the all inclusive aspect of the hotel was lacking as all the food bars and drink bars shut around 23:00.
WOW WOW WOW!!!!!!! what a gem this is, absolutely top notch, so clean, so tidy, all employees are determined to keep the resort looking it's very best at all times, so much to do on site for all ages, the food? Fantastic, at least 3 live cooking stations at each service, hidden away outside the front of the hotel, to the left, an oriental buffet (Sunday to Thursday) superb food, in the same building, the a la carte Italian, Superb food!!!!! And the galleon bar with live acts on every night, could go on and on and on, so impressed with Los Zocos, thank you for making out first family holiday in a long time so special.
The only down side was when we arrived (about 23.30) there was no food or drinks available, disappointing after a long, delayed day of traveling.
The hotel has some positive aspects. The grounds are beautiful, clean, and well maintained. The staff are friendly, polite, and always willing to help. The location is also very convenient, the beach within walking distance.
However, we are disappointed with our stay. This hotel does not feel like a 4-star property.
The room was old. It should be renovated. From time to time there was a strong smell coming from the bathroom.
The hotel also urgently needs to replace its towels and bed linen. They are extremely old, have lost their softness, texture, and original color, and look worn out.
The food … The desserts were especially poor. Many of them were simply store-bought biscuits covered with a gelatin-based cream. This is not the quality you expect from a 4-star hotel.
Overall, it feels like the hotel is trying to cut costs everywhere, and unfortunately, it shows.
Booked two junior suites for a week in June 2026. Upon arrival was told one of the rooms had been upgraded to a senior suite which was a nice surprise. I think they realised with two toddlers the extra space would be appreciated and it was.
Rooms: -
The rooms were very well equipped, great air con and space indoors and on the balcony area. Some resorts give you outdoor space to sit and dry some shorts with people walking past you, this not only gave you plenty of seating for six people you also got two washing/drying lines so no problem drying pool towels and swimsuits between days. Also the path for people walking by was at least 8 meters away from out ground floor room. My one gripe was the hardness of the beds, all adult sized people in the two suites had bad backs from day one. Which is a shame as a good sleep is always wanted when on holiday.
Location: -
Location is good a short walk through the shops to the beach, also close to other places to eat and an aquarium is right behind the hotel, hint do the water park first to get a discount on the aquarium.
Water park is a 8 euro taxi ride away and its good for a few hours. Prices and food are ok and even with lots of school kids, the wait times for rides were good. Also plenty of sun beds, we went twice with our free entry included with the hotel and was great for tiring out little ones.
Night life is a bit quiet on this side of the island. Shops shut at 9:30pm /10 pm at night, bars slightly later.
Entertainment: -
Kids club runs from 11am - 12:30pm then a later time I think. Toddlers age 4 upwards, ours enjoyed crafting, watching films and playing about. There is a football pitch, volley ball pitch, gym tennis courts and crazy golf to entertain people. They have a mini disco for the little ones a few nights from 8pm for about an hour. Good for tiring out the little ones and the parents trying to keep them inline, gets a bit hectic. After this the adult entertainment is usually on but again there are often babies/toddlers and young kids about.
There is only the one evening venue and nearby is a small arcade area attached to it and 3 pool tables outside under cover which again was taken up with youngsters most of the time.
Conclusion: -
Overall a good hotel, with plenty of space when we went. We had a good stay but let down due to the hard beds. I would also say their seemed to be a lack of toilets and no changing areas when you are finished in the pool. This was more noticed on leaving day due to having to get clothes out of the suitcase and change in either the shower room if you manage to book it or in toilets. The site has space for a few changing areas near the pool showers and toilets could also be added. I did see a few queues around the toilets at peak times, we opted to go back to our room most of the time but again with babies and toddlers this is not ideal. Staff were friendly and helpful, even telling me what bus to take to go to the big Sunday market. I wont rule out heading back here but I might try a different area of the island.
