Stayed here for 3 nights for a wedding in the area. First, this is what they say on their site “hotel combines elegance with modern amenities”. Ha-ha, far from it. NOTHING is modern. As far as elegance, we have a little bit higher view of what elegance is. The morning breakfast
is plentiful, but everything all three days were cold. One thing I will give it five stars for is its location. Right on the promenade and if you are lucky enough to get a balcony view, you might also have to deal with a loud noise in the evening. One piece of advice also is do not try to go to the hotels parking lot as it is a extremely tight turn into it with very minimal parking in which you were going to have to move your vehicle anyway and pay a €13 daily fee to park locally. Basically this place is old and it shows it, you get what you pay for. Service and friendliness was exceptional.
Everything at the hotel was perfect, but having such a small breakfast room in a fairly large hotel felt a bit strange. Naturally, I don't know what the hotel could do about this, but since everyone generally tries to make it before the breakfast cutoff time (10:00 AM on weekdays and 10:30 AM on weekends), it gets extremely crowded during the last 30 minutes. So maybe there are people who want to consider this, which is why I’m sharing. After getting my plate, I had to wait around 20 minutes just looking for an available table. Also, while the Wi-Fi connection is good, there are occasional dropouts. These were the only downsides. Other than that, everybody was helpful and smiling, the room view was excellent, and everything was clean.
My wife booked this stay and we just got back on holiday.
This hotel is a disaster. What a shame with such a wonderful location.
I could see tension when management was speaking to housekeepers. It appeared that they were forced to do things they were not supposed to do that would actually fall under a housekeepers job title compared to room service or security. It just seems strange. Do they not have other staff?
The workers appear miserable and heavily overworked and mistreated. I expected better from a country that is in Europe. Out of all the countries I have visited and stayed this is the most backwards
Ran country/ business. This is something that guests should not have to see. You are on holiday and see people getting disrespected. You wonder how much worse the work conditions are and the things you do not see or hear about.
Hotel was extremely loud there was a loud rumble 6-7am which sounded like furniture moving. Do they think people might be trying to sleep?
Management should go stay in a real hotel in a developed country and actually learn how to properly run a hotel and treat staff with more respect.
When you are at “work” you are essentially on “stage” guests and people see how the environment is. And management yelling at staff is ugly. Show some class
I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE WHO CAN READ ENGLISH TO STAY HERE.
-Room was very small and there is no view. They changed with big one but still no view. it is like jail:)
-No Free water in the room .
-Bathroom is old style and need upgrade.
I ask for sea side room but , all rooms fully booked . ( I would pay it but no availability).
-Price/performance is not ok.very expensive for nothing .
-Carpark ,we used private one close BP gas station. Hotel has small car parking and full.13 € a day.
Hotel need very big upgrade looks like 100 years old hotel . I believe they dont listen comments. Because people still booking .
+Location is very good .
+Breakfast is ok.
If you can not get sea view room . Choose John’s Hotel behind Jucy . At least hotel has nicer room and look new.
Good location. Our “sea view room” looked out over another building and you had to half hand out of the balcony to see a corner of the ocean.
Room is basic and a little old fashioned but quite large. I would have expected bottles of water for the price of the room but a mini bar was present with an expensive price list.
Parking was 15 euro for the day which seemed high to me.
Breakfast was basic at best.
We were hit with a 10 euro tourist tax upon checking out which had never happened or is anywhere else in Greece.
This place is expensive for what you get and it feels they to and nickel and dime you for every small thing. Not a nice feeling so we wont be back.
