Arrived here,,well it was around 10:30 at night, and dark, but on arrival the reception was extremely welcoming and friendly. Not overly flashy like some, which are all show at the front and nothing to show after reception. But not here, as it is really relaxing. Booking in was easy, and informative. Marco was on hand with any questions, and answers, as well as good humour and a warm welcome. As we arrived late, and tired, hungry, there was as previously stated on other reviews, a cold buffet, hot coffee, and I am glad, as it was tasty and readily received.
The rooms are clean, and spacious, considering others which we have stayed in.
The pool is good, entertainment on every day, and we haven't experienced a struggle for sunbeds.
But at times it can get busy, and towels left unattended more than an hour, get removed, and it is a deposit of €10 per towel, so that could be lost, if you leave your towel more than the hour
The meals are tasty, but others have stated that it's more for Spanish, but a lot of other nationalities stay here. And we have certainly enjoyed everything which has been on offer. And the breakfast is good, a bit of a queue for omelette, as they are made fresh, as well as the fried egg. Also toast and pastries, as well as much more.
Also there is live entertainment evening, and some really good.
There is a lot on offer, and if nothing suits, then there are a few good restaurants within walking distance, so one shouldn't shouldn't go hungry.
The beach is beautiful, and about 150meters from the hotel, as in out of the hotel turn right, cross the road (zebra crossing) then left, and there it is.
But there can be naturalist about if you get the meaning.
But apart from everything the beach is stunning, and with a walk around, and a village at the end, with some shops and restaurants and cafes shops on hand, a remarkably beautiful place. But if you come out of the hotel and turn right, then you will come across a lot more shops and restaurants.
There is a outdoor market on Thursday, and that's just right beside the hotel. Some good stuff, but also some tac, be aware of before you make the deal and purchase, as some of the items they sell are in the shops, either a better price or better quality.
But all in all, this is a fantastic place, and worth the stay.
Room was very nice, spacious and clean, with comfortable big bed and decent wi-fi. Good shower and nice to have a separate lounge.
The food wasn't noteworthy. Okay for a couple of nights on half board. Got free beer and wine with meal. Can't comment on the All.Inc. drinks.
Negatives were the limited public areas, small pool area to room ratio and no coffee making facilities in the rooms ( A kettle is a must for us British) also, most rooms, other than the pool area rooms feel a bit isolated and not worth paying the extra for the very slightest of sea views. Good value compared to others around and very good location to town and beach.
Staff we came across were okay. Not much positive interaction.
Great hotel, staff were all fantastic (especially Maite)! Rooms were better than expected - really spacious and clean. There was lots of choice with food (although fairly repetitive, but that’s to be expected!). Close to the beach and the small town with lots of restaurants. We loved Paula’s Aqua gym
Beware! I am an author and travel writer spending two months in the Canaries to promote travel here, and I had hoped to profile this property -- but sadly I must warn all travelers especially the elderly, women, and people with disabilities to avoid this property at all costs. I am a woman, and I have a disability, and I was harassed with extreme hostility and even coercively touched by an employee in the buffet room, which was terrifying! It turns out this property has a history of harming and assaulting disabled people. You can see in reviews on Tripadvisor that in 2023 they DRAGGED multiple blind people with walking sticks across the floor of the buffet room. Omg! Heartless hotel, horrible. Speaking now from experience, this is a dangerous property.
On top of all that, housekeeping barged into my room without knocking, even though the room had already been cleaned. The cleaning woman had no excuse for trespassing without knocking but later claimed she had the wrong room. That excuse itself is a problem -- how did she not know what room she was entering when that is her job?
When I tried to address these concerning and upsetting incidents, the management was hostile, unprofessional, and dismissive.
The fire alarm going off repeatedly is also a turn off. It's all so alarming (pun intended)
Eventually they agreed to a settlement which I was fine with, but then they went back on their terms.
In terms of facilities, the food is horrible and the room is like a dorm room, with old cheap furniture. The employees said unkind words about Germans, so if you are German, definitely avoid!
Simply put: this is NOT a safe property for travelers especially the elderly, women, and people with mobility and disability challenges. I have been to 80 countries and never been treated so terribly by the management of a hotel as this one -- go elsewhere and protect yourself. Horrible experience and all so unnecessary -- the management is hostile, unprofessional, and callous for no reason (as other reviews attest). Disability rights are human rights and this hotel has a long way to go in respecting and honoring the human rights of its guests, the Spanish legal code, and the hotel'sown policies. Stay safe and book elsewhere.
I would not recommend this hotel, especially if you are expecting a 4-star experience.
Unfortunately, there were serious hygiene and maintenance issues throughout our stay. The bathroom was full of mould, and the walls in various areas of the hotel were dirty. There was also a lot of dust, which gave the whole place an unclean and poorly maintained feeling.
The biggest problem was the insects. We had giant cockroaches coming into the room from underneath the front door, where there was a gap of around 2 cm between the door and the floor. We were so uncomfortable that we had to sleep with the lights on during the night because we were afraid of more cockroaches coming into the room.
The food was also disappointing and, in my opinion, far below the standard expected from a 4-star hotel. The furniture throughout the hotel, including in the restaurant, looked very cheap and dated.
We were also surprised to be charged £1 for washing the sun-lounger towels, despite this charge not being clearly advertised. For a 4-star hotel, I would expect such basic facilities to be included or the charges to be clearly communicated in advance.
The evening entertainment was very poor, with very little to do, and there were several cats freely walking around the restaurant. Apart from being unpleasant while eating, this raises obvious hygiene concerns.
Overall, the hotel did not meet the standards I would expect from a 4-star property. The hygiene problems, cockroaches, poor food, dated furniture, lack of proper entertainment, and cats in the restaurant made our stay very disappointing. I would not recommend this hotel and certainly would not consider it a 4-star experience.
