We had a wonderful stay at the Athena Royal Beach Hotel and would happily recommend it. One of the things we particularly love is that it is an adults-only hotel, which creates a peaceful, relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the property. From the moment we arrived, the staff have been incredibly friendly, professional and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The hotel is in a beautiful beachfront location, with excellent pools and a very relaxing atmosphere. Everything is clean and well maintained, and our room is comfortable and spacious. Our room had a large shower so one can shower with high comfort. We have also been very impressed with the food. Both breakfast and dinner offer a huge variety of choices, with something to suit every taste. The quality is excellent, and we really enjoy having so many different options to choose from each day. Another lovely feature is the beautiful seafront promenade right outside the hotel, which stretches all the way towards Paphos Harbour and the medieval castle. We really enjoyed the walk, which took us around 25 minutes, and it was a wonderful way to enjoy the sea views and surroundings. What really makes our stay special, though, is the staff. Their kindness and attention to detail make us feel well looked after throughout our holiday. Overall, a fantastic adults-only hotel for a relaxing holiday in Paphos. We are thoroughly enjoying our stay and would definitely come back. Thank you to the whole team for making our holiday so enjoyable!

Turen til sentrum var også herlig. Maten på buffeten var deilig, og personalet var virkelig imøtekommende og vennlige. Det var mulig å sitte ute på balkongen, noe som var fantastisk. Mange aktiviteter både på dagtid og om kvelden hvis man ønsket å delta. Vil absolutt anbefale dette hotellet.
This hotel was such a disappointment it kind of ruined our holiday. First of all, it's called the Athena Royal Beach - but there's no beach. There's no sand and no way to enter the water safely. It's a rocky outcrop with a deathtrap makeshift jetty where we saw multiple people fall over. There are no lifeguards anywhere near. The hotel is so dated, it's more like a working men's club than a luxury hotel. During our stay one of the main lifts was out of order for 3 of the 7 days. Given they appear to be catering mainly to the over 70s, this is a problem. The outdoor showers didn't work 1 day and the pool filtration system was broken on at least 2 days. 80% of the sunbeds are ancient and rickety and basically everything needs replacing. With the exception of 1 or 2, the staff are miserable and disinterested. The breakfast was awful, the omelettes were dry as cardboard and the coffee was undrinkable. I honestly don't understand the good reviews of this place which makes me think bad ones are being removed. I'm just so relieved we didn't go all inclusive here. If you've been to something like a Barut hotel in Turkey or an Atrium Platinum in Greece, then you're going to be very unhappy with this place. And its not cheap either, we paid £2,200 for a week including flights with EasyJet Holidays for B&B. It's put us off Cyprus for life. Do yourself a favour and go to Turkey instead.
Ligger rett ved kyststien til Paphos. Perfekt hvis du liker en spasertur på rundt 30 minutter inn til havnen, med nydelig utsikt over havet og enkle turer. Hotellet er kun for voksne og har en veldig avslappet atmosfære inne. Servicen er utmerket og svært vennlig, med barservering ute ved bassenget. Vi hadde et rom med balkong og havutsikt i første etasje, med en stor, komfortabel seng og dusj. Det eneste lille problemet vi opplevde, var at siden rommet lå rett over restauranten, kunne man høre stoler skrape mot gulvet nedenunder når frokosten startet. Frokosten var imidlertid utmerket, med et enormt utvalg av alt fra fersk frukt, tilberedte omeletter, bacon, ost, bakverk og mye mer! Vi vil gjerne bestille her igjen, da det var akkurat det vi ønsket oss, og stedet fortjener de gode anmeldelsene det får.
Truly wonderful hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and approachable. Our stay from the first moments were truly splendid! One of the nicest hotels i have stayed in - the food was incredible - facilities in abundance - entertainment throughout the day! Special mention to Abiel of the entertainment team, true asset to the hotel that boy! I couldn't recommend this hotel enough. Should ever I have the opportunity to return to Cyprus, here is where I would stay
