Just returned from an eleven-night stay at the Adalya Artside hotel, two adults and two children. We all had a wonderful time with plenty to keep us busy throughout the day with poolside entertainment including foam parties, aqua gym, water polo, darts, shooting and of course the selection of slides. The pool itself is massive and there were always sunbeds available even if you weren’t up first thing.
Other facilities we used were the games area where there is a small bowling alley and amusement centre, there are number of shops which are handy we purchased some gifts for people at home and inflatables for the pool. The gym is reasonably kitted out although I couldn’t get the aircon to work, it was hot, but the likely to be my error.
The food was varied, good quality and wasn’t overly repetitive and we always manged to get seated for dinner without too much hassle be that at the pool bar or main restaurant. We ate on evening at the al a cart Chinese restaurant this was probably the only tiny letdown on the whole holiday as the menu was very limited although the food we did get was nice. There was always plenty of food and drink available throughout the day, from chilled water, soft drinks, alcohol, snacks and cakes.
The animation team are fun and friendly, everyone was made to feel welcome, they we always willing to chat and were great with the children. There was plentily evening entertainment, and the hotel makes good use of the amphitheatre and pool bar areas most evenings having a mixture of live music and various other entertainment during our stay. The bars and service areas were well staffed with waiting kept mostly to a minimum; the service staff were exceptionally attentive often bring drinks to the table.
We also made use of the spa that houses a beautiful Turkish hammam, we made serval visits here including a family Turkish bath and spa treatment, we all really enjoyed this. The staff here were wonderful too.
The hotel itself had lovely grounds and looked nice and was in a good state of repair. We found all areas clean and tidy, rooms were cleaned daily and the mini bar was replenished daily too.
We only made use of the hotels beach facilities once, it was only a short walk and everything that is available at the pool bar is available at the beech bar, with plenty of sunbeds on offer too.
This was not a issue for us it is however worth noting that the clientele are predominantly German or Eastern European (we spoke with two other families from the UK during our time there), this can make it more difficult for young ones to mix or if you’re from the UK and looking to make holiday friends its unlikely due to language barriers – this caused us no concern and there certainly wasn’t any problems because of this for ourselves and no need to mark the hotel down in anyway – It’s purely for information.
This was our first holiday in Turkey, so we cannot compare the hotel with others in the area, but we would still like to share our experience.
The hotel is not modern, but it is beautiful and has its own unique charm, especially because of the pictures and decorative tiles throughout the hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable, although it was clear that it was not new. The shower was quite small and narrow, and the shower head was not high enough. The minibar was also not cold enough. Apart from these minor issues, we were happy with the room.
Most of the staff were very friendly, kind and helpful. The food in the main restaurant was varied and tasty. The snacks by the pool and on the beach were less varied and were often the same. Dinner could be quite crowded, and sometimes we had to wait 5–10 minutes for a table. The freshly prepared pasta by the pool was a great option.
The pool was beautiful and clean, and we could always find sun loungers. The beach was one of our favourite things about the hotel – fine sand, gradually deepening water and therefore perfect for children. Although it could be crowded, there was always enough space for our child to play.
The entertainment was good, with something happening every day. The staff were also very kind and welcoming towards our child, which we really appreciated.
Unfortunately, our main negative experience was with the hotel photographer. He approached us and insisted on taking some photos even though we initially tried to decline. He only took a few photos, for around three minutes, as our child was not cooperating. Later, he asked €60 for six photos, which we found far too expensive and therefore declined. What was even more disappointing was that afterwards he apparently made fun of us in front of his colleague, saying that it was too expensive for us and laughing. We found this very unprofessional and inappropriate, especially considering the price of the hotel.
Overall, we would recommend Adalya Art Side. We had a good holiday and enjoyed our stay, although the experience with the photographer left us with a somewhat negative feeling at the end.
I RECOMMEND this hotel! The rooms are large and comfortable, clean, and convenient. The TV even has the Polonia channel. The food is varied and tasty, with delicious kiwi and oranges. The staff was very helpful. The pool wasn't heated; unfortunately, it was very cold. The small indoor pool has a gym, billiards, ping-pong, darts, and a paid bowling alley. As is typical in Turkey, the hotel caters to Germans, a few Russians, and even Poles. The staff can speak a little Polish.
The number 3 bus stops right in front of the hotel, going to Side, the Old Town, the mall in Magavat, and the bazaar.
Cons: poor entertainment, lack of fruit such as watermelons, melons, or mangoes. It's a bit of a walk to the sea, and the road isn't lit at night.
We had an amazing time 🫶🏻thanks to the incredible animation team! Deniz,Mimi, Dudu, Yusuf, Bambi and Muhmet. Love you all 💕They were friendly, energetic, and made every day so much fun for both adults and children. Their shows, games, and activities were entertaining and well organized, and they always made everyone feel welcome. Thank you for your hard work, enthusiasm, and for making our vacation so special. We hope to see you again! Shayma/U.S.A.
very, very poor and dirty hotel. The reception place it was clean it is everything , but that’s about whereas cleanliness is a completely foreign concept to the rest of the hotel. The bartenders and waiters were stuck-up, arrogant, and never smiled. Worst of all, the top managers see this but say nothing; the hotel has very, very poor management... 3 stars at most also Entertainment Manager zero work.... There are only 2 friendly people in hotel. And Dudu from animation team and guest relations woman perfect... . They really do their best.
