We stayed here as a family with a 4 and 9 year old. The hotel looks lovely, but the overall experience was very poor due to how it is run.
The positives: the room was spacious and well equipped, the mini club staff were excellent, and there was always food available. The beach area was also nice.
Unfortunately, the negatives far outweighed this.
The spa was extremely disappointing. It was sold as a private, relaxing experience but had no privacy at all. Facilities were shared, overcrowded, and poorly maintained (including a broken, mouldy steam room). We booked multiple couples massages and were separated every time, with requests ignored. Staff were dismissive and rude, and a promised complimentary treatment was never provided.
The hairdresser experience was also poor. We were given incorrect advice, pressured after payment, and the end result was uneven and will need to be redone.
A consistent issue was how concerns were handled. I was dismissed, spoken over, and staff directed responses to my husband instead of me. This was unacceptable.
Housekeeping was inconsistent, with repeated issues getting towels and bedding. Staff service overall was minimal unless you actively chased.
Guest relations were frustrating. The included à la carte restaurant was always “full” until we challenged it, after being told we would need to pay extra.
The indoor pool was not heated as advertised and unusable for young children.
We also observed inconsistent and concerning behaviour from lifeguards and some entertainment staff, including children being turned away from activities.
Overall, the hotel has potential but is very poorly managed.
We would not recommend this hotel for families.
One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. Something really bad happened during my vacation: one of my family members didn't notice the glass and hit his head, breaking it. The doctors wouldn't operate on the broken leg until he gave me money. The manager even charged me 250 euros, but he didn't admit to being partly at fault and stood his ground. The beach is always busy, and the restaurant is almost always too. The food in the restaurant is disgusting, even though it looks good in the photos. There's practically nothing to eat there except the standard French fries and spaghetti. The plates are also often dirty - I got dirty five times while looking for a clean plate. The drinks are the cheapest - instead of juice, they have diluted Jupi with water. The milk is also 0.5% fat and watered down, and the alcohol is the usual cheap crap that's undrinkable and makes you sick. I felt sick for five days when I ate their food. The room is very uncomfortable to sleep in, the whole hotel is old-fashioned and shabby. I don't recommend staying here!!!
Many rude staff. Especially at the hamam. Some bartenders are rolling their eyes at simple orders and appear annoyed overall. The extra pay Mediterranean restaurant was a waste of time and money. The rooms are extremely outdated with AC remote controlls screwed on the walls, some of the controlls don't work. The best part was night shows with African performers. The food choices are limited and basic. The worst part is the dining timing. People fight for food, because for example for hundreds of diners they put out 30 shrimps. Same with tables - it's difficult to find a spot to eat. The lunch is from 12.30 to 2 pm, and the dinner from 7 pm till 9 pm. However, they start taking food 20-15 min before. They take away the platters while people still trying to get smth to eat. The beach is not steep and has a nice sand, the water was clean and almost without waves. Overall, however, i would not recommend this hotel because of the rude staff, strting from the front desk and finishing with hamam
We recently stayed at Alaiye Hotel from 3rd June to 13th June for a 10-day family holiday. We travelled as a large family group, including my parents, brothers, sisters-in-law, and children, and overall we had a lovely stay.
The hotel offers a great all-inclusive experience. Some members of our family preferred to relax by the pools and enjoy the water slides, while others liked exploring the local area. A special mention goes to a waiter called Mahmut Yildirim. Although he spoke only a little English, he went above and beyond to help us by using Google Translate to explain local attractions and places to visit. His kindness and willingness to help were greatly appreciated.
The hotel staff were generally very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned every day to a good standard, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job. I don't usually eat much breakfast, but I really enjoyed the fresh orange juice that was available every morning.
The hotel also has a salon, spa, and massage facilities. My mother and sisters-in-law used these services and were very happy with the quality and professionalism provided.
The only disappointment for me was regarding prayer times. As a Muslim visiting a Muslim-majority country, I had hoped that the music would be turned off or lowered during prayer times. I raised this concern with the Guest Relations team and spoke to a staff member called Bushra, who happened to share the same name as me. She listened carefully, recorded my complaint, and assured me that she would pass the message on to the relevant team. Unfortunately, no changes were made, and the music continued during prayer times. This was disappointing for me personally.
I would like to emphasise that Bushra handled my concern professionally and politely throughout. She apologised several times and did her best to help, even though the issue was beyond her control.
Overall, we had a very enjoyable family holiday at Alaiye Hotel. The staff, cleanliness, facilities, and service were all very good, and despite my concern regarding the music during prayer times, we made many happy memories during our stay.
Fantastic stay at this hotel. We booked for one week and extended to two weeks with our two young children. Kids club and entertainment for children is brilliant. Lovely pools, gorgeous beach. Excellent facilities, delicious and wide variety of food. Bar staff so friendly. We will be back!
