Me and my mum stayed for a week in July and we had an amazing time! The food was amazing and there were lots to choose from, the rooms were lovely and clean and the cleaning staff were really sweet. The staff we spoke to were all so friendly and accommodating. The entertainment team were amazing - Sabina was one of the reps who really made our time here, she played and participated in many games especially by the pool. There was never a boring moment. The evening entertainment was outside and everyone was up dancing and joining along. The views were amazing too! Mountains and an amazing ocean view not evening a minute away. There are bars and shops but the hotel has everything you need. 10/10 would recommend, amazing for families.
My boyfriend and I recently spent a week at the Blue Sea Puerto Resort on an all-inclusive basis, and overall, we had a very enjoyable holiday!
The Highlights:
The Room: Our room was fantastic—very spacious with a huge balcony and a beautiful sea view.
Sabina (Animation Team): A massive shoutout to Sabina from the Czech Republic! She is absolutely the best animator. Her Pilates classes were amazing. She takes her work very professionally, but at the same time, she is so much fun to be around. She truly made our stay special.
Drinks & Food Quality:
The drinks at the bar were great, and the food itself tasted good.
Areas for Improvement:
Queues & Timing: The biggest downside was the waiting. There were long lines at the lunch buffet and also at the bar. Additionally, the time slot allocated for lunch felt a bit too short and rushed.
Staff Professionalism: While the animation team was generally good, we had a negative experience with one animator named Ibai. He was visibly drunk during the day, smelled of alcohol, and was acting foolishly. Given that animators work closely with guests, including children, this felt highly unprofessional and inappropriate.
Despite these few issues, we had a great vacation and really enjoyed our time on the Canary Islands. I would still recommend the Blue Sea Puerto Resort for a nice getaway!
If you travel just for drinks it’s fine, but if you are looking for something 4* this hotel it’s a scam. It’s more 2 starts. Basically it’s still in 90’s, most basic food what you can get, there is some fresh fish, but a part of that every thing else it’s low shelf low quality. Ive been reported broken doors no one come in 5 days, I don’t know it’s still broken as we left hotel no one fixed this. Also lots of British people who think the place themselves, don’t know how to behave, basically like loose dog from the leash…. Find something else than this hotel.
Food was disgusting, kids club never on for the kids initial room given was old and worn eventually got moved to what we actually booked. Barely any activities on. No chance this is a 4 star hotel pool edge is disgusting the drinks at the bar are terrible. Kids can't have any balls or inflatables yet you can play water polo? We went to Turkey for the same time and for cheaper and it was miles better. I would absolutely avoid.
The hotel is situated on a small strip with lots of shops and a few places to eat. It can be very loud in the evening and the walls are paper thin.
It’s a nice 20 minute walk into the town and a 10 minute taxi ride to loro parque, taxis are very cheap.
The room was spacious but the carpets stink. We had two rooms and both of them smelt like soaked in urine.
The pools are a lot smaller than they look on the photos, people put their towels on sun beds and leave them all day so unless you get up at 7am to secure beds you have no chance.
One of the pools gets no sun at all and is not located near the bar or the toilets.
However there is an amazing complex in the town with huge pools filled with sea water.
There is one bar which is shared by both hotels so the queues were always huge, there were usually only 1/2 people serving, which for 2 hotels is ridiculous.
The drinks weren’t great, you do get slushes included in the all inclusive but the spirits all tasted the same and they were so strong we couldn’t drink them.
Same problem with the dinner hall, one room is shared by both hotels so you’re queuing for a table, the food was awful. Burgers were completely raw and chicken was pink, very small variety of food and the trays were constantly empty and we had to wait to have them refilled.
Some of the dinner staff were very ignorant.
Entertainment didn’t start until 9.30 which is pretty late for young children.
I can’t say we enjoyed any part of our stay at the hotel but there is lots to do nearby.
Also do your research on the weather as Puerto de la Cruz is a very cloudy part of Tenerife, youre pretty cold after getting out the pool.
