Too much noise came through the room's entrance door, and the wardrobe was awkward to use because the doors kept catching on the drawers. However, the room was very spacious, and the sleeping comfort was excellent. Unfortunately, the bathtub setup with the showerhead wasn't ideal; it always caused a flood after showering. The water slides were a huge hit with the kids—though a tip for parents: please keep an eye on your children. It gets very busy, and while the lifeguard does their best, one person can't keep track of everything alone. The water slides could use a renovation; the top one, in particular, causes back pain. Dinner was much more pleasant in the smaller restaurant than in the main one. Unfortunately, the main restaurant didn't leave a lasting impression regarding the evening meal; the food could be much better, and the staff could be a bit more attentive to guests' needs. Still, it is a family-oriented concept—great for kids, though not a high-end, premium experience for adults. I really loved the evening entertainment and the cocktails—and the beach, of course. Water sports were right on the doorstep. We liked the Tutti Frutti lunch restaurant best (hot meals served between 12 p.m. and 6 p.m.); it offered a really good selection and the food was delicious.Nevertheless, all in all, it was a lovely, successful holiday!
A great family stay at Esperides Beach Resort!
The +: Thank you again for the upgrade! 🙏 The location is excellent: a great water park within walking distance, the bus to Rhodes (€2.50 per person) right outside the hotel, and several excursions departing nearby. Our family room was modern, spacious and very comfortable, with two separate bedrooms (one with a queen-size bed and one with two single beds), a shower room and a separate toilet with a sink. Excellent bedding as well.
The food was varied and of good quality, with several restaurants to choose from. The breakfasts were excellent, with a very wide choice and good-quality products. The selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks included in the stay was also impressive. The only downside regarding the food and drinks was the quality of the juices, which tasted quite artificial and overly sweet. Fresh orange juice would have been very much appreciated for breakfast.
The hotel was generally very clean, with beautiful grounds, plenty of sun loungers and friendly, welcoming staff. A special mention for the kids’ club, which offers many activities with a caring and multilingual team — a big thank you to Safa, who took such great care of our daughter ❤️. There are also plenty of activities for teenagers. The private beach is a real plus, although the dark pebbles become extremely hot in the sun, so suitable water shoes are essential.
The -: The soundproofing of the rooms could be significantly improved. Doors slamming late in the evening and from around 7:30 am, children shouting in neighbouring rooms, and footsteps and conversations from the floor above could be heard very clearly. There is also a lack of storage space and wardrobes for clothes.
The music was very loud until 11 pm directly below the rooms in the main building. Since there is an amphitheatre further away for the evening shows, it would be much better to use it consistently so that guests who want to rest, especially families with young children, can enjoy some peace and quiet. Some shows advertised at the amphitheatre were also held at the Lounge Bar instead.
The Wi-Fi network was not very reliable. Finally, the floor around the swimming pool is extremely slippery and not really suitable for walking around the pool. Our 4-year-old daughter fell simply while walking, and we witnessed several other falls during our stay.
Overall: a very enjoyable family holiday with many strong points, particularly the location, facilities, food, kids’ club and staff. A few improvements, especially regarding soundproofing, evening noise and pool safety, would make the experience even better.
The location of the hotel is very good. You can visit Rhodes Town by high-speed boat taxi for only €18. At the hotel, there are many attractions and activities for kids and adults. The food is very good, and there are many restaurants, so you will surely find something you like. There is something different every day, so the food never gets boring, and the desserts are absolutely delicious!
There are plenty of sun loungers and daybeds around the pool, and there are so many nice spots to relax that you can always find a place that suits you.
Highly recommended!
This hotel was fantastic. The food options were amazing and everything tasted great. There were lots of choices for all meals including 2 place choices for lunch. All of the staff were really nice as well. There was a good amount of entertainment on for all ages though some children did join in with adult activities which was a shame. The rooms are really modern and nice. All of the facilities were fantastic.
We stayed at Esperides Beach Resort for 7 nights as a family of four (2 adults and children aged 7 and 12), and overall we had a great holiday.
The hotel is in a very good location, only about 30 minutes from Rhodes Airport. Directly across the road there is an excellent souvenir supermarket with fair prices, a huge selection and friendly staff. We visited it several times during our stay. There are also car and bike rental shops nearby, as well as plenty of water sports.
Check-in took less than 5 minutes, which was a great start to our holiday. Our family room was spacious, clean and had a separate bedroom for the children. The minibar already contained cold beer when we arrived, which was exactly what I wanted after travelling. Bottled water was refilled every day, which was a nice touch.
The food was excellent. There was plenty of choice, everything was fresh and tasty, and queues were usually very short. The only small disappointment was the coffee. If you enjoy strong, high-quality coffee, you may find it a bit average.
The pools were clean and well maintained. The water temperature was perfect, and with depths of 1.2 m and 1.5 m they were ideal for families with children. Staff were constantly cleaning the pool area, so everything stayed tidy throughout the day. The only downside was finding sunbeds. Like many popular resorts, most sunbeds were reserved early in the morning, making it difficult to find free ones later.
The beach is only a short walk away and has its own bar. The sea was crystal clear and the beach was clean. It is a pebble beach, and there are rocks and some deeper areas when entering the water, so I recommend bringing or buying water shoes.
The entertainment was probably the weakest part of our stay. Personally, it wasn't really my style, although it was clear that the animation team worked hard and did their best. This is only my personal opinion and it did not affect our overall experience.
The bars were efficient with very little waiting time. Drinks were what you would normally expect from an all-inclusive resort, with a good selection of cocktails.
The hotel staff deserve special praise. Everyone was friendly, professional and always willing to help. When the bathroom door handle broke, I reported it at reception before going to the pool. By the time I came back, it had already been repaired. I also needed to contact my airport transfer company, and the reception staff called them for me and explained everything. That level of service was greatly appreciated.
Wi-Fi could definitely be improved. It worked, but the speed was quite slow, coverage wasn't perfect across the resort and the connection sometimes dropped.
The only genuinely negative experience during our holiday was the employee in the hotel's mini market. Unfortunately, she was rude, unfriendly and seemed unhappy to deal with customers. She refused to accept coins as payment and would only take banknotes or card. The whole interaction was unnecessary and unpleasant, and it honestly spoiled my mood for the rest of the day. I came on holiday to relax, not to argue while buying a bottle of water. Hopefully, hotel management will address this, because it was completely out of place compared to the excellent service everywhere else in the resort.
Overall, we really enjoyed our holiday. The hotel offers excellent value for money, especially for families. The location, food, rooms, cleanliness and staff were all excellent. We would happily stay here again and would definitely recommend Esperides Beach Resort to other families visiting Rhodes.
