The hotel has a great location, impressive facilities, and a very good all-inclusive food selection. However, the service level did not meet our expectations for a 5-star resort.
A key example was our departure day. Late check-out was not available, which we can understand if the hotel is fully booked. However, we then had to wait in the lobby for more than 13 hours, with no meaningful alternative offered. We were told that food would have to be paid separately, and we were not even given the option to purchase an extended all-inclusive wristband for the departure day.
From a hospitality management perspective, this is where a 5-star resort should show flexibility, communication, and guest care. The issue is not the refusal of late check-out itself, but the lack of a reasonable guest-focused solution.
Rodos Palace has strong potential, but the current service standard does not fully match the expectations created by a hotel of this category.
We had a wonderful stay at Rodos Palace! The hotel is in a fantastic location with beautiful sea views and easy access to Rhodes Town. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it perfect for our family.
The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. The pools were great, especially for children, and there was a good variety of food every day. We also appreciated the relaxing atmosphere and the many facilities the hotel offers.
Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and made wonderful family memories. Thank you to everyone at Rodos Palace for your hospitality. We would be happy to return and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Rhodes!
We are currently staying at this hotel and, unfortunately, it has been quite disappointing\. Although advertised as a 5-star hotel, it feels much closer to a 3-star property and is in desperate need of refurbishment. The rooms are very dated, and the air conditioning in our room barely works. It simply makes a loud noise without producing any cool air, making it extremely difficult to sleep in the heat.
The food has also been a let down. It is very repetitive and often lacks quality. My niece has a nut allergy, and after being incorrectly informed that Nutella does not contain nuts, we completely lost confidence in the allergy information provided. As a result, she has spent most of the holiday surviving on chips and bread rolls because we have been too worried to let her try much else\.
The pool area is another issue. Sunbeds are all reserved with towels by around 7am, yet many of these guests do not return for several hours, leaving beds empty but unavailable to others.
This really needs to be managed better.
Safety around the pool could also be improved. Drinks are served in glassware rather than plastic cups, and we have heard glasses smashing at least twice a day, which is concerning around barefoot guests and children. And the poolside floor tiles are so slippery I’ve seen 5 people slip over\- thank god they weren’t carrying glasses!
On a positive note, most of the hotel staff have been very friendly and helpful. However, the bar staff generally appeared unhappy and uninterested.
Overall, we have still tried to make the best of our holiday, but this hotel does not currently live up to its 5- star rating and would benefit greatly from refurbishment, improved food quality, better allergy awareness, and stricter management of the sunbed situation.
Pool entertainment staff- amazing
Reception nice and friendly
Rodos Palace has been one of the best holiday hotels i’ve ever stayed in, first off all i would like to mention the animators/reps the whole Remarc team outdid themselves! Special and specific mention for Sylwia. She worked hard but made it enjoyable, was so passionate about her work involving the guests, creating a great atmosphere for everyone, I will definitely never forget her, one of the best animators i’ve ever met! The location was great, near the beach and restaurants and supermarkets very close, the atmosphere was amazing great entertainment throughout the day. The rooms were a little outdated however they were still very nice and the sea view did it all!! Thank you
I had a great room at the top floor, renovated and clean. I had a fantastic view (see photos). Everything in the room worked perfectly and I had blackout curtains, soundproofing glass doors and a functional coffee machine. The shower was tactile. I was here with a large group and others had old, dirty or broken appliances in the rooms.
The food was rather good with massive choices. Nice location, nice spa and many different restaurants and terrace to sit and enjoy the place.
Beware that access to the gym is not free!
Also they don’t include the city tax in their prices so be prepared to pay extra (substantial amount).

It is one of the few examples of Gothic architecture in Greece. The site was previously a citadel of the Knights Hospitaller that functioned as a palace, headquarters, and fortress.
The Medieval City of Rhodes was constructed around 1309 to 1523 and is part of the modern capital city of Rhodes on the Island of Rhodes in Greece. The site was added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 1988. The Medieval city consists of the high town to the north and the lower town south-southwest.

The fortifications of the town of Rhodes are shaped like a defensive crescent around the medieval town and consist mostly of a fortification composed of a huge wall made of an embankment encased in stone, equipped with scarp, bastions, moat, counterscarp and glacis. The portion of fortifications facing the harbour is instead composed of a crenellated wall. On the moles, towers and defensive forts
