We had a great stay at the resort, ans overall enjoyed our holiday. The staff were always helpful, and the only downsize was the quality of the buffet food. I expected better from a 5 star resort. That being said, there was a daily BBQ lunch at the poolside restaurant. It was delicious and quite popular, and despite the amount of people queing for barbeque, the lady cooking the meat, Monica, always greeted everyone with a smile and care! I've worked in hospitality for years, at home and abroad, and was stunned how great Monica was with all customers, despite the fact that she was working by the grill, at the peak heat of lunch in the middle of the scorching August spanish summer. This lady was giving 10 out of 10 customer service. Communication and service by the reception team were outstanding too. Overall amazing staff, who go out of their way. The buffet food has got a room for improvement.
Just got back from a fantastic week at Insotel Punta Prima Resort in mid-August 2026, and we had a fabulous time. We’d definitely return! The resort is really well laid out, with different areas and facilities to suit all ages. It is quite hilly and spread across different levels, so it may not be ideal for everyone, but we loved the layout and the beautiful surroundings. The location is fantastic, with gorgeous sea views and the beach just a 5-minute walk away via the path. There are also plenty of restaurants along the beachfront if you fancy eating away from the resort. The staff gave us a couple of recommendations, although we never actually made it out! We did enjoy a drink at the bar overlooking the beach, which was lovely. There are three different pool areas, so there’s something for everyone. The water slides were a huge hit with both us and our 6-year-old — plenty of fun for big and little kids alike! The pools never felt overly busy during our stay, although, as always, there was the usual sunbed/towel situation! The food was honestly fantastic. There was a huge variety at breakfast, lunch and dinner, and I really don’t understand some of the reviews saying there wasn’t much choice or that it was repetitive. With so many options available, there was always something different to enjoy. If you can’t find something you like here, you might be hard to please! There are also three restaurants that you can book as part of your stay, which is a great bonus. Two dishes that really stood out for us were the Turkey Stroganoff and Veal Ossobuco — both were absolutely amazing, although everything we ate was really good. The drinks were another positive. Branded drinks, decent measures, and beer, sangria and soft drinks available on free pour at various locations. Overall, we had a brilliant week. Great facilities, beautiful surroundings, fantastic food and plenty to keep both adults and kids entertained. Evening entertainment was good fun too! We’d happily come back and would definitely recommend Insotel Punta Prima Resort!
Butlins with sunshine If you are 60+ then this is not the place for you, however if you have grandkids then it’s fantastic, or you are a family, then this is the place for you. The amenities for children and families are 1st class, after that it goes downhill quicker than the walk from the top of the resort to the bottom. We found the restaurants overcrowded with very poor food quality, they even have their own squadron of dive bombing seagulls waiting to swoop at any moment, which isn’t pleasant. As other reviewers have stated, we did see a lot of guests eating at one or more of the restaurants in the bay. The first room we had had a swallows nest above the door with bird droppings on the balcony, we did complain and was moved straight away to another room however don’t think for one minute you are getting 5* because you are not 3* is about average, the rooms themselves are dated and basic. The entertainment team each night work their socks off and they put on great shows which finish promptly at 10:30. The reception staff try their hardest to cater for your needs but must get sick and tired of the same complaint’s. There is a TUI pod next to the reception and the girls are all friendly and pleasant. There is also a doctor on site as well. Overall my evaluations are these: It’s not 5* it’s 3*, the food and restaurants are rubbish, but the staff are all great if you want a family friendly hotel with wonderful views then this place is for you. But it’s not for the over 60’s. So you have been warned!!!!
Just spent a week at this hotel. I suffer with a nut, sesame and seafood allergy and Adil (head chef) helped me and made me feel so safe as soon as i arrived. Adil was so polite and helpful, such a friendly person, always ready to help anyone that needed it. The resort was lovely, right on the beach and such a nice atmosphere. Rooms and resort were always spotless. Staff were so helpful. Pedro (waiter) was also especially helpful and was very attentive, he always had a smile on his face and was always there to help especially with my mom that suffers from MS. I would definitely recommend this hotel for family’s or couples and people that suffer with allergies.
Hotel is in a great location a short walk from Punta Prima beach, shops and restaurants. Good - great for young families, lots of space around the splash park and no need to reserve sunbeds. Rooms are dated but the beds were very comfy (we booked 2 x bedroom apartment). Drinks are self serviced...if you don't mind the wasps. Bad - really doesn't feel like a 5 star (4T plus) hotel. All inclusive food was ok, pretty standard. Staff - no smiles or warm welcome, probably due to being large hotel.
