Very poor experience with Apollo Travel and Riviera Hotel & Spa
We were placed at Riviera Hotel & Spa, where a group of around 20–25 young people were staying. This group took up far too much space and completely ruined the experience for other guests. They occupied the pool area for hours every day, left their drinks everywhere, and were extremely noisy. They played their own music and shouted loudly, making it impossible to relax—even in our room with the windows closed, we could clearly hear them.
The group was also intrusive towards other guests, especially young women, whom they approached and disturbed.
The hotel staff was unfortunately useless. The reception kept sending us from one employee to another without taking responsibility. When we finally spoke to the manager, she was unpleasant and not helpful at all. She claimed she had already spoken to the group, but their behavior did not change at all, which makes it hard to believe her.
There were constantly no available sunbeds, and the overall level of service was very poor. At no point did the staff take any initiative to help or follow up, even though we passed the reception multiple times.
What was most unacceptable was that the manager gave misleading information. She claimed that the hotel cannot see who books through charter travel agencies, which seems very unlikely since booking always includes age and number of guests. This came across as unprofessional and dishonest.
The experience was so bad that we ended up spending our own money to go to other places just to get some peace and enjoy the last days of our vacation.
About Apollo Travel:
Apollo Travel was also not helpful. Their response time to messages was very slow, and the communication felt disengaged. When we called, they said they “understood our situation,” but the only solution they offered was for us to pay extra to move to another hotel.
It is completely unreasonable that we, as customers, have to pay extra to escape a hotel that they cooperate with and that clearly does not meet basic standards.
This experience ruined the last two days of our vacation. Both Riviera Hotel & Spa and Apollo Travel showed a lack of responsibility, poor service, and unprofessional handling. I cannot recommend traveling with Apollo or staying at this hotel.
This was my first visit to Turkey, and I’m glad I chose this hotel.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were cleaned every day, and the food was quite varied with plenty of options to choose from.
The hotel has a nice, clean beach. Instead of sand, there are small pebbles, which was not a problem at all—in fact, it was easier to get rid of than sand. There is also a place to rinse off after swimming in the sea.
In addition, there are many local attractions, excursions, cafés, restaurants, and other places to explore nearby.
We spent 6 nights here and really enjoyed our stay.
Great hotel! Location is a 10/10. Rooms are quite small and dated, but overall very clean. Food is good but not the best, depending on the day. For the rest keep in mind that "All Inclusive" is NOT All Inclusive here, after 23:00 everything costs money, and cocktails are not included. Also the beachbar is NOT included and for some reason orange juice also isn't included? I do recommend it tho!
The hotel overall was great, location was perfect right in front of the beach, nice restaurants around. Breakfast and dinner were nice, loads of different options and fresh food (not a fan though of the fresh orange juice for an extra price, and coffee could be much much better too). Room was great, good views and cleaning was done every morning with fresh towels and linen, cleaners were also very nice and polite.
Reception staff was a bit disappointing, we got there very late (11:30pm) and very tired, the guy in reception explained us the check in super quick and in a not very good English, we just left it as we just wanted to get in the room shower and sleep, but the receptionist told us we had to come tomorrow at 10:30 to meet someone in the lobby, we didn´t understand this and thought we could just skip it as our main goal for this holidays was getting some rest.
The morning after, they called our room at 10:40 to tell us we must go to the reception lobby and meet this person, I told my husband to go as we just woke up and wanted to sleep more, as the day before we got there very late. My husband went down and meet this guy, apparently he was our representative in the hotel and had to verify some things with us, he also told my husband that I must also go down, so in the end I could not sleep for longer. When I went down, this guy, called Emrah, starting showing all the packages we had to to different activities and trying to sell us a few of them, we insisted this holidays we did not want to do anything as we wanted to relax and he kept insisting. In the end we told him we were not interested in anything he wanted to sell us and asked him if he needed anything else from us. He answered "I don´t need anything from you, is incredible, this is the first time someone doesn´t buy a package". We were speechless, we felt really bad as he kept trying to persuade us and all we wanted was rest, I would like to flag this as it made us feel extremely angry when this was completely unnecessary, so thank you Emrah for ruining our first day of holidays. Wanted to link this experience, so people do not meet this guy in specific if they receive his details in an envelope, please do not waste your time with such a rude sales man, enjoy your holidays instead.
It was a wonderful experience staying here! The accommodation was flawless in every respect, and we were welcomed into a comfortable and elegant environment. The food was varied and delicious. Cleanliness was exemplary throughout the hotel, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The spa area was fantastic, providing the perfect place to relax and recharge. Every service deserves 5 stars, and we would be delighted to return!
