I recently stayed here for a week with my mum. We loved the hotel! The food was great—there was a great selection of buffets and al a carte restaurants included in our stay. Our room was lovely, clean and modern with a great view of the pools and the sea. The staff were always friendly and helped whenever needed. The hotel is also located on a strip filled with lovely restaurants, bars, shops, water activities and other hotels so you have the option to do things outside of the hotel. Definitely recommend staying here!
Atlantica Caldera Palace is a genuinely beautiful spot right on the beach, but the whole vibe gets completely ruined by one massive issue that management completely drops the ball on: the ridiculous towel-reserving at the pool. By 7:00 AM, literally every single sunbed at the main pool is claimed by a towel—half the time with nobody in sight for hours. If you roll up after 8:00 AM, forget about it. Zero chance of getting a spot. But honestly, the worst part isn't even the entitlement of other guests—it’s the total ghosting by hotel management. They know damn well this is a huge problem, yet they do absolutely nothing about it. And by nothing, I literally mean zero effort: not a single staff member is ever seen near the pool to check on things or strip off abandoned towels. You're completely on your own. Gotta hand it to them though—their priorities are hilarious. While absolute mayhem unfolds outside at the pool with no staff in sight, you get greeted in the breakfast room first thing in the morning by dreamlike, live Greek music. So there you are, munching on your toast to dreamy acoustic vibes, emotionally processing how you're about to spend your day standing up, watching empty towels get a better tan than you. Credit where credit’s due, though: the in-house entertainment team that performs twice a day is actually pretty impressive. For a pure hotel ensemble, they’ve clearly poured some serious money and effort into them—the talent is legit. For a 5-star resort, you'd just expect staff to balance the budget and actually enforce basic pool rules too. Great setting, top-tier shows, lovely live music with your scrambled eggs... but a total fail on pool management.
My husband, our baby, and I stayed at your hotel for five days last week. The hospitality was exceptional, and the staff was incredibly friendly. The rooms were spacious and very clean, and the hotel itself is beautiful and spotless. The service was 10/10—everyone was always smiling and greeting us with 'hello' and 'good morning.' I have never enjoyed a stay at any hotel in the world as much as I did here. It was a wonderful experience; I have already recommended it and will definitely continue to do so. Highly recommend the all-inclusive Atlantica Caldera Palace hotel! We booked a vacation for 3 nights and 4 full days, and had a perfect experience. Right upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised: even though official check-in is at 15:00, we received our room as early as 13:00. Furthermore, although we booked the most basic double room, reception upgraded us to a large, spacious room with a sea view and direct access to the pool. The food at the hotel is excellent and very diverse (important to note that we do not keep kosher). There is a rich main buffet, plus plenty of themed restaurants (Italian, Greek, Mediterranean Chef, Mexican, Thai, and Japanese), the vast majority of which are at no extra charge. We ate at the Thai, Greek, and Italian restaurants and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. Additionally, there are food stations by the pool operating from 10:00 to 18:00, offering burgers, fries, pizza, noodles, sandwiches, and salads. The hotel itself offers an incredible variety of pools and many bars scattered throughout the property (all included in the price). The service at reception was simply excellent, and all the hotel staff were friendly and service-oriented. As for trips outside the hotel—one day we took a taxi to the promenade in Hersonissos, which has many stalls and is somewhat reminiscent of the promenade in Eilat. On another day, we took a bus to Heraklion (€2.9 per person each way, combined with a short walk). If you're looking for shopping, that is the place! The prices there are much lower than in Israel, and there are branches of Zara, Stradivarius, Sephora, Pull&Bear, and more. In short, highly recommended!
Very disappointing – definitely not a 5-star experience Unfortunately, our stay at Atlantica Caldera Palace was far from what we expected from a 5-star hotel. From the very first night, we had a serious problem with noise around our room, including extremely loud cricket noises, which made it very difficult to sleep. We contacted the hotel and requested to change rooms, but despite explaining the situation several times, our request was refused and no proper solution was offered. The food was also a major disappointment. The quality and variety were not what we expected from a 5-star hotel. As someone who does not eat pork, I also found it difficult to feel comfortable with the food, as there was not enough clear information or consideration regarding the ingredients. What disappointed us the most, however, was the service. We felt that our complaints were not taken seriously and that the staff were not genuinely interested in finding a solution. At times, the attitude we received was simply unpleasant and unprofessional. Because of these issues, we ended up having to rent a car and eat outside the hotel instead of being able to enjoy the facilities and services we had paid for. Overall, the experience did not come close to the standard we expected from a 5-star resort, especially considering the price we paid. Unfortunately, I would not return to this hotel and cannot recommend it based on our experience.
