The good: Good hotel. Good all inclusive concept for families with kids, look no further. Amazing meat carving station for dinner. Adults spa was the best I have seen. Gym could rival a dedicated neighborhood gym where you live. Hiking lunch packages a real plus. Great and extremely efficient staff both in restaurants, reception and housekeeping. Decaf coffee a real plus. Gluten free options and lactose free availability. I requested a gluten free bread for breakfast on our first day and since then was always available on our table every morning without asking. You get your own fixed table for breakfast and dinner which simplifies things a lot because you have the same table for the entire holiday. unlimited ice cream and soft drinks all day long. The not so good: Outdoor pool. I understand is natural, but was very cold and full of sand, algae, etc. Is not an inviting pool to be in. We were there for 5 days in july with high temperatures and barely saw anyone getting into the outdoor pool. Indoor pool very small and limited. Family spa only open for 2h a day. That’s the bare minimum. No jacuzzi for the family spa, only jacuzzi in the adults spa 16+. Dinner cold desert always the same: mouse The hotel itself is quite old and once you visit the new part of the Kaiser Lodge you have the feeling of missing out on how beautiful and well designed and new the Kaiser Lodge is. Maybes the purpose is to get people to upgrade to the Lodge on next stay, unfortunately the Lodge doesn’t offer an all inclusive package.
As one of the very few British families in the hotel (we counted a total of two!) I thought it worth writing a more detailed review to hopefully give people looking to book a holiday here from the UK some useful info. The headlines are that this hotel is absolutely fantastic and we would thoroughly recommend it. We had an absolutely brilliant time staying here and exploring the Wilder Kaiser for a May half-term holiday (fly-drive via Munich at about 90 mins from airport). We found the staff in particular so welcoming, attentive and helpful - in particular huge compliments to the restaurant staff who constantly greeted our two young kids with smiles and chat, cleared plates with great efficiency, remembered what we wanted to drink and got us top ups (despite it supposedly being self-service which was really appreciated). The chefs too were friendly and helpful (not to mention skilled!). The hotel has a very casual, homely vibe all day but then at dinner all the staff did dress up and looked wonderfully smart - they are a credit to the business. We never really saw any managerial staff in the hotel side at all, which on the one hand gives it a very chilled vibe, but the occasional pop in to say hello and check everyone is having a good stay probably wouldn't go amiss if I am being honest.
The hotel looks even better than on the pictures. The service is on point and never disappointing. The spa area is beautiful, i could spent days there! The food is super tasty and diverse. Thank you so much for the amazing experience.
Amazing hotel and experience! We have visited the last three years and every stay has been just great. Delicious food with clean buffet, super fun kids room for the little ones, and nice all-inclusive style. Free shuttle to the ski lift with great slopes just minutes away. Cannot recommend enough. We prefer to travel here than ski in the United States. We’ll try to come back every year. Our kids love it and count down the days to Hotel Kaiser each year.
Spent 3 nights here in July -24. Everything was great. Kind and very service minded staff. Could be the best we ever experienced. Also perfect rooms, lots of things to do with kids and just overall relaxing. Food was very healthy and nice, we enjoyed all meals we had. Kids cried when we had to leave. Will definitely come back!
