Stayed for a week half board mid October with a weaning baby.
Pros:
Everyone here is incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved the buffet (and 24/7 baby cereal bar), which gave our baby plenty of different healthy food to try every meal. Waiting and cleaning staff were amazing with our baby.
Special shout out to Maribel who entertained our baby during meals so we had more time to enjoy our food!
The many pool options mean there is something for everyone. One of the hot tubs being ideal for us at a lukewarm bath temperature, perfect for baby.
The views and gardens made a big impression as well. It’s a truly unique place. 270 degrees of sea views, palm trees lined secluded beaches in every direction. Beautiful well kept gardens distinguish this hotel.
A wonderful place to explore the Costa Tropical. Bus linea 3A and 3B operate from nearby stop Galera 1 (5min stroll on barrier free pavements). Note 3B doesn’t operate in low season (mid September to June). Cons:
The interior design is not trendy, it’s a theme park like postmodern idea of Andalusia, but the target audience is children and people out to have fun so it works.
We found a lot of places in the area shut already for low season.
I’m just back from a long weekend stay with my 5 year old on a bed and breakfast basis.
The hotel itself is a bit dated but gorgeous. Everything was very clean and the rooms super well furnished/lovely bathroom/very comfortable beds. The rooms were cleaned to a very high standard every day.
Loved the pools! The outdoor pools weren’t heated at all which I found fine but my little one couldn’t/wouldn’t endure too much which was a shame. The views from the infinity pool were amazing.
The breakfasts were okay, the usual breads and pastries and cooked stuff so something for everyone although dreadful coffee. There was decent coffee in the cafe bar but it was just a bit irritating to have to have breakfast across two separate locations (plus in the bar it was extra cost).
I had dinner one night and it made me feel very grateful not to have gone all inclusive! It was all pretty drab, even the dedicated kids food was rejected by my very good eater of a child (I’m not sure how you can get margarita pizza or macaroni cheese wrong?) and it cost us €45 for this one off meal which made the whole affair quite embarrassing. It seemed fresh and freshly cooked though so if you’re not too bothered about decent food and happy to just have something easy then it would be totally fine. But if you do like seasoning/flavour/decent food there are several nice restaurants within walking distance and a million more if you hire a car (which I would definitely recommend!).
Staff were friendly and helpful! No complaints there whatsoever.
I’d definitely visit again on a bed and breakfast basis when my child is a bit older and can cope better with the colder pools. I’ll also be sure to hire a car and do a bit more exploring of local sights.
Great hotel and a great value. Food is varied, cooked fresh and staff friendly. A bit of a journey from Malaga airport (90 mins) which was a bit of a chore but transfers included so hassle free. Would defo recommend if you want endless sun, all inclusive budget break.
We booked with Luxtours so that my kids and I spent could spend an amazing 4 days with all inclusive amenities.
.
The packages included airfare for everyone, transportation to/from the resort, all food (buffets), and drinks were included (only local alcohol- beers/wines). The hotel had several outdoor pools, some with slides, a heated indoor pool, a sauna (12€ for kids 4+), mini golf, kids club, giant chess board, archery, and is animal friendly. We booked the Sea view for an additional fee (totally worth it), and made sure to take some extra time to stroll the beach. ⛱️
The hotel was amazing. I wouldn't fault it. The hotel room to the food to the staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to any family wanting to relax and enjoy good food and a beautiful view
