A wonderful place for a truly relaxing holiday! The location is excellent - the hotel is set right on the beach in a quieter part of Sunny Beach, offering peace and tranquility while still being close enough to the resort center for a pleasant walk. The service is outstanding. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, making every guest feel genuinely valued. Everything is impeccably clean, well organized, and professionally managed. The hotel provides everything needed for a perfect getaway: spacious and comfortable rooms, beautiful swimming pools, direct beach access, delicious and varied food, and a calm, adults-only atmosphere. It is the perfect place to disconnect from everyday life and simply relax. I would gladly return to Secrets Sunny Beach Resort & Spa and highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, exceptional service, and a peaceful holiday.
Disappointing for a 5-star resort Unfortunately, I wouldn’t rate Secrets Sunny Beach Resort & Spa as a 5-star hotel. In my opinion, it’s closer to a 4-star resort. There were some positives, particularly the good variety of food options, but the overall experience didn’t quite meet the standard I expected. The food was cold around 90% of the time, which was disappointing, especially with so many options available. The hygiene around the pool was also a concern. Seagulls were constantly around the pool areas and would leave droppings in the water, which didn’t feel particularly hygienic. The pools are absolutely freezing all the time, not just cold but freezing. Everyone who went into the pool came out red as their body reacted to the cold. The maintenance of the hotel could also be improved, as the skirting boards in the hallways were coming away from the walls in multiple places. Chairs on the balcony were broken. These details don’t give the impression of a luxury 5-star resort. Finally, there wasn’t enough seating or space in the entertainment area, meaning the lobby regularly became overcrowded with people. Overall, although there were positives, I felt the cleanliness around the pools, food temperature, maintenance and lack of entertainment space let the hotel down. For a resort advertised as 5-star, I expected a much higher standard. Sadly, I would rate it 4 stars at most.
Came home 5th October. Stayed 4 nights. When I arrived i was greeted by lovely reception really friendly guy was in minutes. Got room 906. What a beautiful room everything you could ask for. Straight to bed as it was 12 midnight. Slept like a baby in the most comfortable massive bed. Took my Yorkshire tea bags suger and pint of milk wrapped it in foil so was fresh. Seeing the room in the morning was amazing opening patio doors a dream. Looking out to pool sea and right to sunny beach. Breakfast was lovely just didn't like bacon scrambled eggs gurg. 3 different types of sausages and fresh fruit cereals fresh coffee bucks fiz. Food every meal time was something for everyone 😋. Staff are lovely. Room was fresh every day. Sunbeds bit low uncomfortable if you have issues sitting down but I manged just got up now n then to pool bar sat at tables Would I say it's 5 star! No not really. As Lanzarote secrets was much better for room service as meal times here took my meal before I was finished just got up for bread n butter. So maybe leave plates till your knife n fork is put together. My god dont people know how to lift a chair instead of grabbing them along the floor drove me insane like being in school 🙃. I was meant to leave my room at 11am so I asked the manageress if I could have it longer She was fantastic as kept it till 6pm how lovely is she ❤️. I went solo but met 2 lovely friends grandma n granddaughter so made my time much better. The bar lads at pool bar were aces lovely friendly 👌. I was preferred plus. So could use anywhere in the hotel. I wouldn't go back October as flower street was mostly shut but got bags and tracksuit top. So spent €66 in all with taxi. But glad I went as weather was gurg 3 days. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay. 😍 Kitty 😺
Before we left we read some less than flattering reviews of Secrets but we couldn't fault it at all - this hotel is excellent! The rooms were spacious and modern and kept spotlessly clean by the housekeeping team. The pool areas and all the bars were also beautiful kept and maintained and the staff were friendly and professional. The entertainment was good and the team really did their best - we loved aqua aerobics every day with Kristi. And the food - amazing! So much choice and always well cooked and beautifully presented. The waiting staff were attentive - shout outs to Aziz and Zlatina for their exceptional service. We also enjoyed the Asian restaurant at Dreams next door. The waiter Assen was great! If we were being really picky we would say the hotel's lifts were a problem: very slow and not reliable, 2 of the 4 were out of order by the end of our stay. But this didn't detract from the fact this is a wonderful hotel, with great facilities and staff. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely honeymoon at Secrets. The room was spacious and comfortable. The housekeeping was excellent. The food was first class and great quality good variety and plenty of it. Plenty of Sunbeds but may need updating as a bit uncomfortable. Staff very friendly and approachable. The only small negative were the lifts. At busy times could result in long waiting and one of four lifts out of service for whole of two weeks.
