The best hotel we’ve stayed in by far. It’s not sterile and modern, it has a lovely 60s/70s deco charm. Everything is beautiful and really good quality, no flimsy modern flat pack furniture. Superior quality everywhere you look. They are very generous with their food and drink options and portions. The pool, grounds and beach are by far the most attractive along that whole strip of hotels. We absolutely love the access to the beach and then the hotel pool for a cocktail after a sea swim. The little blue church and famous sunset point are 2 seconds from the hotel’s beach which was a spectacular bonus. The rooftop bar is gorgeous and classy. Fab to sit on during sunset. Overall an absolutely stunning hotel with plenty to do and see. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming too. Been twice now and would definitely go again!
I recently stayed at Blue Pioneer in Paphos, and I can't recommend it highly enough! The manager, Andreas, has been exceptional, ensuring that every detail of our stay was perfect. The level of hospitality and care truly sets this hotel apart. The food was simply outstanding—each meal was a delightful experience with a fantastic variety that showcased local flavors. If you're looking for a welcoming atmosphere and delicious cuisine in Paphos, this is the place to be!
This has got to be THE best hotel we have ever been to! We were in a superior room with sea view which didn’t disappoint AND the package included in the upgrade was excellent. Most drinks were free, and we had unlimited access to a separate à la carte breakfast room and the à la carte restaurants- in which the food was amazing. The hotel is absolutely spotless with unlimited access to hand gel in all bars and dining areas, which made it feel cleaner than any uk hospital I’ve ever been in! The staff could not help you enough and were constantly happy and pleasant. Sunbeds were in abundance despite seeing ridiculous people still putting towels out at stupid hours 🙄 and the pool area was spotless too. We played tennis and participated in other activities. The gym and indoor pool although not our thing, appeared well used too. The hotel is right on the beach with easy access to the coastal walk which does take you to Paphos harbour if you like an hour + walk. The buss is much quicker and stops are close by costing 2€ per trip- bargain! There were some really lovely touches made by the hotel throughout our stay, including a complimentary bottle of fizz and also recognition of my 60th birthday from staff on the day. In short I have nothing negative to say about this hotel, we loved it in every way!
Loved everything about this hotel! I paid a little extra for suite, I'm glad I did as the views were stunning! Food was decent (standard all inclusive) drinks were nice too. Hotel staff were very friendly and with the hotel being adults only it was really quiet in and around the hotel! Both me and my Wife were gutted we didn't book for a longer stat! But we'd definitely return!
At first sight the interior of the hotel, especially the room doors, appear a bit outdated an old. But nevertheless this hotel is best proof that old does not necessarily mean dirty or shabby. Yes, you see that the hotel is not new, but it is well maintaned and clean in all corners. Our room with sea view was small, but sufficient and the big balcony really made up for that. The staff was constantly polite and helpful with all questions we had, service during breakfast and dinner was just amazing. The food served in the buffet was absolutely great, something for everyone's taste available every single day - we did not even want to try the a la carte restaurants as they could not be better. The service outside in the cabanas was just the same, always nice and always quick. The access to the water is a bit tricky, but feasible - probably one of the nicest spots to access the sea on the whole hotel strip. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and in case one of our next vacations leads us to Cyprus again we would for sure consider booking this hotel again.
Paphos Castle is located at the western end of the port of Paphos and dates to the mid-13th century. The castle's original structure was built after the earthquake of 1222 destroyed Saranta Kolones, an earlier fortress about 600 metres (2,000 ft) north-east.
