Staff are very rude, our air-conditioning unit leaked everywhere and when we reported it the receptionist she was very rude about it, had to tell them twice to sort it. We was all inclusive but the food was very basic and always the same, we ended up eating out the majority of the time. The toilets were absolutely disgusting. Luckily the hotel its self has nice big pools with slides and its own beach area which we enjoyed. There is plenty to do outside of the hotel. There is a restaurant called no name which we ate at nearly everyday, I would highly recommend and the staff are great. It is just outside of the hotel. The all inclusive drinks are only beer, wine and whisky and of course soft drinks, no other spirits or cocktails. You have to wait for a separate bar in the hotel to open in the evening for other alcohol, which you have to pay for.
Personal wouldn't stay here again. I must not forget the entertainment staff who were brilliant and tried their best to keep you entertained.
There were four of us there. We had a very nice two-room apartment with a sea view. The staff cleaned and changed towels daily. The resort is beautifully situated on the seafront, with plenty of pools, waterslides, and entertainment for children. The very professional reception staff (Mr. Vardoulakis - best regards) coordinated the return of our lost belongings after we returned home. We had a wonderful vacation there.
Unfortunately, our experience at Eri Beach & Village in Crete was disappointing overall.
The biggest problem was the staff. Most of the staff did not speak English well enough to communicate properly, and unfortunately they were generally not friendly or welcoming. In particular, the woman working at the reception in the evening, who wears glasses, was very unpleasant to deal with. When asking her a question, she often did not even look at the person she was speaking to, which made the interaction feel very disrespectful.
The drinks selection was also very limited. There were no proper cocktails, and the variety of drinks was disappointing for an all-inclusive resort.
The food was average at best — I would rate it around 6/10. It was not particularly tasty and there was not much variety. For vegetarians, the selection was especially poor. Apart from vegetables and fruit, there were very few proper vegetarian options.
On the positive side, the general cleanliness was good, and the pools were clean and well maintained. There were also a few activities available.
The strongest point of the resort is definitely the location and view. The scenery is beautiful and breathtaking, and the sea is very clean.
However, one major disadvantage is that although there is a swimming pool, there is no properly equipped private beach area for swimming. The neighboring resort was apparently connected to our area, so we ended up going there to swim in the sea.
Overall, considering the price and the fact that this is an all-inclusive resort, we expected considerably better service, food, drinks and hospitality. The beautiful location is the main reason I would give it 2 stars rather than 1.
Lets write this review reasonably.
Personally I don’t feel like this is the hotel for me, but considering the fact that it was one of the cheapest i don’t hold a grudge against it.
ROOMS: It’s got whatever a room needs, AC too, you might need to pay extra for it. Note that the Wi-Fi will probably not work in your room on your phone, it does slightly work on a laptop however. The toilet, sink and shower are probably the best thing in the rooms - they’re actually good. The rooms are slightly cramped, maybe not all of them but i don’t know for sure, atleast there’s a balcony with a nice view.
FOOD & DRINKS: The food is the biggest letdown here, if it was actually good I’d definitely rate this place higher, it almost never seemed fresh and when it did it was soaked in oil and fat, the drinks are like they are in any other hotel - cheap quality… sometimes the dispensers for them break and dispense coloured water instead of what you wanted. If you want to get drunk at the bar, sure… go for it. It’s not the best quality but it can get you tipsy.
OUTSIDE: One of the better things about the hotel, the pool is saltwater not chlorine which is not great but the sea beside it has a really fun swimming area. The slides are… fun for kids, but if you weigh more than the average child it hurts going down them due to the segments being unevenly put together (probably because of age). Infact i think this is a great place for smaller kids (up to age 7) at night there’s a bunch of activities for them.
LOCATION: Really close to the centre of town, nightlife there is really active. The shops there are pretty bad in my opinion but theres a lot of good bars and restaurants.
SUMMARY: If you don’t pay attention to detail this is actually a good place to go, but if you’re expecting a luxury hotel for the price of one that isn’t…. Your way of thinking is absurd, splash some more cash and go somewhere else. If you want cheap, you get cheap. Probably why there’s so many Germans here.
Such a lovely animator team! Me and my family have been going here for the past 7 years and I never had this much fun.
Mario, Mari and Antonio are such lovely people. I have played darts, water polo and petanque with Antonio and never laughed this hard at a holiday.
Their everyday evening program always brought joy with their energy and smiles, same with the disco :)!
I hope they'll continue being in this hotel and I would love to see them again next year!!
Knossos (græsk Κνωσσός) var i bronzealderen den største by på den græske ø Kreta og centrum for den minoiske kultur. Knossos har været beboet siden stenalderen.
