Excellent hotel. We were booked for the Royal Palm hotel for rooms with sea view, but that hotel was overbooked and we were upgraded to the Royal Princess hotel. All Royal hotels are part of the same resort, and guests from all hotels can use all facilities, pools and restaurants. Our room was huge, a big one bedroom suite with a king bed, kitchenette with a bar (but no cooking gear) and 2 bathrooms, one with a shower, and one with 2 vanities and a bathtub and a shower divider. It had so much space that we didn't know what to do with it all, except enjoy it! We had a rate with breakfast included, and it was a huge buffet with all kinds of hot and cold options, including fruits and an omelette station. Very high quality. On the resort grounds the pools are small but nice, and there are options to go into the sea and swim. The "beach" is rocky (as most beaches are in Croatia) but there are many beds and umbrella spaces made on the rocks. Great for a relaxing day. We were there with a car and if you book directly with the hotel parking is free. Parking is very difficult near the old town, so we left our car at the hotel and took taxis to and from the old town (15 minutes, 20-25 euro. The Royal family of hotels is a great and luxury place to stay, and I can recommend this to anyone who wants to shell out the money for this. Service from the front desk was excellent as well. We would stay here again!
We absolutely loved the Royal Princess Hotel! My biggest pro tip for anyone booking a stay here: definitely get a room with a sea view. The view is simply extraordinary, it relaxes, and the slight price difference is worth every single cent. The room itself was very large and spacious, which we appreciated immensely. The food at the hotel restaurant was good, and the prices are right on par with what you would find at any other restaurant nearby in Dubrovnik. Another huge plus is the beautiful coastal promenade. You can walk right along the sea, enjoying exceptional views all the way, pass by other restaurants, and stroll down the path. The hotel truly has everything you need. The complex is quite large, featuring multiple restaurants, bars, and beautiful pools (both indoor and outdoor). I also really loved the beautifully arranged terraced spaces on the rocks by the sea, which are perfect for lounging and jumping straight into the water. We were very satisfied with our entire experience, including the location. If you want to visit the Old Town, you can easily catch a quick Uber and be there in no time. Personally, I don't think it's worth staying right in or immediately next to the Old Town just to be within walking distance. I actually find this location much better than being in the busy Old Town, though of course, tastes differ. All in all, it was an extraordinary experience. I would return here anytime!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was perfect, and all the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A special thank you goes to Zeljan and Manuela at the reception. They were exceptionally kind, helpful, and professional throughout our stay. They always had a smile on their faces and made us feel very comfortable and well taken care of. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the atmosphere was amazing. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely recommend this hotel to others. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!
We spent there a week at the end of April and honestly we loved it! Princess Royal Hotel has amazing views in sea view apartments, breakfast is great and there is variety of restaurants to select from. In April outside pools were closed but inside pool was open and it was really nice for kids to use. Fully recommend. Things to know: - this hotel doesn't have private beach so you need to use public ones (around 10 min walk) or enjoy sun on cliffs or next to outside pools - apartments have kitchen corner but there is no equipment, so If you are planning to prepare some food you will need to ask for some equipment and they will bring it - there is no playground for kids or anything like this
The Perfect family getaway Our family of three ( 2 adult and a child) recently stayed at the Royal Princess for a week. The all-suite layout is absolutely superb. We stayed in a Deluxe King Suite Sea view which featured a separate living area with a sofa bed for the little one (although she prefers our big bed so we keep the sofa as it is) and two full bathrooms which is a must for us, plus a kitchette equipped with a Nespresso Machine and Kettle and a private balcony overlooking the Adriatic Sea and Elaphiti Island which is the highlight of our stay. What We Loved: * The Views - Walking up to the Adriatic Sea from our private balcony was breathtaking. We highly recommend upgrading to a Sea view-I guarantee you, its worth it. *Resort Access - Since the hotel is part of the Royal Hotels and Resort complex. We had access to all amenities offered. Its such a bummer that some of the outdoor pools are closed during our stay which is I fully understand as the wind is somewhat chilly even on sunny day and some days are windy even in late April. But the indoor pool and spa access make up for that. I cant imagine how nice it will be when the summer season is in full swing. I specifically loved the spa access and heated indoor pool in Royal Princess to unwind and relax. Take note that the Indoor pool in Royal Blue is an adult only pool so we always use the Indoor Pool at Royal Princess provided that the kids are accompanied by an adult. My husband love the fully equipped gym though the boxing gloves provided are already worn out and badly needs cleaning (smells funny) Location: * Conveniently located just 30 minutes cab ride from Dubrovnik Airport, 10 minutes to Old Town and easily accessible via Bus No. 6 which stops a few short walk from the hotel. The hotel located in the peaceful Babin Kuk area. Its a must to walk on the Promenade which gives you a breath taking view of the Adriatic Sea, passing by beach club, restaurants, bars and small local supermarket to stock up on snacks and essential All in all: * The Beach is mostly rocky with direct sea access into deep water. Great for snorkeling but challenging to small kids and non swimmer. Otherwise, you can enjoy soaking up in the sun on a sun lounger or just waddle in the shallow part. *Food - we had a bed and breakfast throughout our stay and 2 dinner nights. I'd say breakfast is great, lots of options plus you can order breakfast egg of your choice which is great. The down side is, we had the same breakfast option every single morning. Would be great if they can thrown in two or three new option especially for long staying guest. The dinner is more or less the same. Although the hotel offers different menu every night but the options are limited. Good food but nothing especial. I had a great dinner experience tasting local food which cost me less from the restaurants nearby than I had in the hotel. *Room - Bright and clean. Hats off to the amazing lady who cleans and tidy up our rooms. Would be great if they consider having bathrobes for kids as I saw a lot of Families with young children. *Service - Acceptable but nothing special. They are polite and attentive but somewhat robotic, lacking engagement. Except for Josko, the gentleman who made us feel welcomed the very first moment we step into the hotel. He enthusiastically walk us through from checking in to explaining everything we need to know. He didn't even hesitate to help us contact the Airport Baggage claim as we didn't have a local numbers and the Airline misplaced our luggage which is a huge stressed on us. He even recommend where we can get our essentials and meds if needed and follow up on us when our luggage arrived. His friendly demeanor helped dial down the stress for us. Highly recommended. We had a wonderful stay and we'll definitely be staying here again.
