Very good location, 100 m to the beach. But be careful when you are looking for good sleep. The bars in the surroundings are very very noisy at night. Then it depends on the location of your room if you will be able to fell asleep at night. The served food is very good, many choices what to eat.
okay rooms, lamp switches make no sense.
got a room that was not on the map so i took 30 minutes searching for it, staff did NOT inform me where to find it either.
the restaurant food was meh
I visited this hotel for an all-inclusive vacation. When we've arrived in the hotel our rooms weren't ready, but we could use the hotels amenities right away. We got the key cards to our rooms pretty quickly. The rooms were clean - the staff cleaned them daily, didn't feel dated and were adequate size. Maybe I'd prefer a shower over a bathtub but it's a very minor thing. AC worked without any problems. Private beach belonging to the hotel is one of the biggest perks of this hotel. I've always found at least one free sunbed every time I visited it. There's also a beach bar there, it consists of a coffee machine, soft drinks dispenser and a beer tap. The bar closes at 5PM. Sadly no toilet or a water tap to wash sand down from your feet on the beach. The beach is located right next to the hotel. Really, the location of the hotel was very good. It was also close to the center of Golden Sands, including bars and clubs. Some people said that they couldn't sleep because they heard parties at night - and yes, you can definitely hear them if you sleep with an open window, but if you close the balcony door you don't hear a thing. I didn't mind these noises at all, if anything they even helped me sleep haha. The hotel also has two pools - 1 outdoor and 1 indoor. The water in the outside one is rather cold, but the one inside has an acceptable temperature. I wouldn't call it thermal tho, but it's advertised as such. Both pools are deep enough to swim in them, but as a 6ft male I could stand in both even in the deepest spots. The outdoor pool was located on a terrace, next to the sunbeds and a pool bar. The hotel provides a card that could be exchanged into beach/pool towels upon check in, but if you won't return the card or the towel when checking out you need to pay 10 euros. Dirty towels can be exchanged every day in the spa. The guests are encouraged to use the spa by staff, but the treatments aren't free. Terrace is at least partially covered by sun for the most of the day. The pool bar closes at 10PM, they have coffee, soft drinks, wine (red and white), beer, ice cream (but also only until 5PM), alcoholic cocktails, sweets and snacks (fries, sausages and rudimentary pizza). I never tried any of the snacks bc I was always full from the food from the buffet. The food is rather good, everyone will probably find something that they like. There are two restaurants in the hotel, the food doesn't really differ between both, but sometimes one might have some dishes the other one doesn't. None of the restaurants have open-air tables, which is a shame. Generally something new is served each day so you won't get bored. Themed dinners are also diversifying what you eat. Fruits and sweets are served with every meal, together with coffee, soft drinks, wine and beer. There is also a lobby bar and a smaller one above it. Both are open 24 hours, but the lobby bar doesn't serve alcohol and cocktails after 11PM, and the one above it doesn't serve them at all. I mean, you can order them at the lobby bar at night too, but they're not included in the all inclusive program (oh, the irony) and have to pay for them. Other than that, they carry the standard combo for this hotel - coffee, sweets, soft drinks, beer and wine. When it comes to quality of the alcohols, I haven't tried beer, but wine is okay - isn't watered down and the cocktails are also okay. When it comes to the cocktails they serve the classics. Also they left me a bottle of champagne in my room for my birthday. There are also two clubs, on the roof and in the basement, but they are both closed. In the "peak hours" elevators are packed. Guests aren't constantly controlled. If you can find a good deal on this hotel, definitely go for it!
We spent 5 days at Astera Hotel & Spa and overall had a great time. The rooms were impressively spacious, with bathrooms featuring both a shower cabin and a large bathtub—definitely a plus. We enjoyed lovely sea views and appreciated the food variety offered at the two on-site restaurants.
The underground parking (20 leva/day) was convenient, especially during the busy season. The private beach, however, is not directly across from the hotel—expect a 10+ minute walk. Unfortunately, the beach bar was disappointing, with just a basic coffee and juice machine sitting in the sun.
The pool area was clean and not overcrowded, which we liked. One downside was the ground floor public toilets, which were consistently dirty throughout our stay.
I'm very disappointed..we had a ultra all inclusive plus booked from.march and it was around 1300 euros ( without transportation and parking).
The food was a disaster, there was Italian night and was no Italian food but in general it was the same food the whole 7 days, very very disappointed..the bar was also a mess..the cocktail came from a machine there was no actual bartender to make the cocktails..same with sodas and from dispenser which was not mention..the beach bar was basically a simple soda machine with cups and that was it..
Private beach was decent ,same as the sun beds..
The room was actually very good and clean,I was surprised and unfortunately it was the highlight of our holiday.
The gym is like a dungeon,no equipment and everything is already broke or about to break ( it was a reason why we chosed this hotel)
For the amount that we paid food and drinks was low quality and they take top dollar for that which is not ok.
All and all it was a bad holiday and for sure I will never return to this hotel ever..the staff was very friendly .
