I absolutely cannot recommend this hotel. Our stay as a family was a huge disappointment from start to finish.
From the moment we checked in, we were greeted in an unfriendly manner at the reception. The receptionist clearly had no interest in welcoming guests and seemed unwilling to help. We felt more like a burden than paying customers.
The food was also disappointing. At breakfast, the meat products were not labeled. For guests who avoid certain types of meat for religious, health, or personal reasons, this is simply unacceptable.
In general, many of the staff seemed unmotivated, annoyed, and uninterested in providing good service. We experienced very little friendliness or hospitality during our stay.
The cleanliness of the hotel was also far below our expectations. The property looks nothing like the photos online, which give a much better impression than the reality.
For the price we paid, we expected much better. If you value friendly service, cleanliness, and a welcoming atmosphere, I would strongly recommend choosing a different hotel. We will definitely not return and cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
Mareblue Beach Resort is the best resort I’ve ever stayed at! I was shocked by the incredible level of cleanliness and the outstanding customer service throughout our stay.
As a vegetarian, I especially appreciated how Dimitris and Kaitlyn went the extra mile to prepare delicious vegetarian gyros for me. Dimitris is an amazing chef — he had a smile on his face every single day and was always happy to help with anything we needed.
We stayed for 7 nights and the experience was perfect from start to finish. I highly recommend this resort to everyone!
We had a great time at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained and the overall atmosphere was relaxing. We also enjoyed the various evening events organised by the animation team in the two bars. The staff were polite and extremely hardworking which made our stay enjoyable.
The only downside was our check-in. The lady at the reception spoke extremely fast which made it difficult for us to understand the information she gave us. She then disappeared into the back office leaving us with a few unanswered questions.
Apart from this minor issue everything else was excellent and we would happily recommend this hotel to other guests. Thanks to the animation team, the ladies who kept the room clean and the restaurant team as well as the gardener for the beautifully maintained trees and lawns!
The place is amazing and I will start with a big and massive shoutout to the entertainment team Ibo, Samantha and Marcus they bring life to the place.
The check-in was smooth and fast, room was clean and big just as a lonely traveller.
There are 2 pool areas one small for adults and a massive one with a bar and a food court for everyone.
The food was great can't complain about it as is hard to please everyone and anybody when it comes to food.
All departments are trying their best to maintain and keep a professional standard to the resort.
For the evenings at the pool bar area you have different entertainment activities with singers, dancers, acrobats.
There are 2 beaches near the resort that are not owned by them. 1 small one which is poorly managed and full of sea weed and the second one which is medium size and quite clean.
The resort is located not far away from a lagoon so please be aware you need mosquito spray if you are susceptible to mosquito bites.
Overall I had an amazing stay 5/5. Don't even bother reading the bad reviews because they are not based on true information. These people usually don't know what fun and being in a vacantion is and are in constant stress and karen mode.
AN EXPERIENCE TO FORGET — AND A RESORT I CANNOT RECOMMEND
After 20 years working as a travel agent, I have learned that you should never judge a hotel solely by photos, brochures, or online descriptions. You need to see it, experience it, and understand what your clients will actually receive.
That is exactly why I came here personally.
Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
The room is damp, with a strong and persistent smell of humidity and mold. The unpleasant odor is impossible to ignore and makes the room feel uncomfortable from the moment you walk in. This is not the standard of accommodation I would expect to see in a resort that is being offered to travelers.
And the problems do not stop there.
During dinner, the mosquito problem is so severe that enjoying a meal becomes extremely difficult. In my opinion, proper pest control and disinfection of the outdoor dining areas should be a basic requirement, especially in a resort environment.
I am not writing this as a random guest looking for something to complain about. I am a travel professional with 20 years of experience, and I came here specifically to inspect the property because I need to know what I am recommending to my clients.
After seeing the conditions for myself and speaking with guests who are currently staying here, I can honestly say that the reality is far from what I expected and far from what I would consider acceptable for my clients.
There are many more details I could mention — from the condition of the room and the persistent damp smell to the overall experience and various issues raised by guests. I could literally spend the entire day listing the things that have disappointed me.
But I will stop here.
My responsibility as a travel agent is to protect my clients’ interests and recommend properties that meet reasonable standards and expectations. Based on my personal experience at this resort, I cannot recommend it to my clients in its current condition.
A beautiful location or attractive photographs cannot compensate for a damp, foul-smelling room, inadequate pest control, and an overall experience that falls so far short of expectations.
This is my honest professional opinion, based on what I personally experienced and observed during my stay.
