Very rare I go back to a hotel the 2nd time.
All in all perfect.
We stayed at this hotel with our family for 8 nights and were very satisfied with our experience. The food was delicious and offered a great variety of choices. We were also impressed by how well the hotel was organized, especially during meal times. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the location was excellent.
The only area that could be improved is the kids’ club. It could be a bit more engaging and interesting for children, and the staff could do more to encourage kids to participate in the activities.
We rented a car and explored the whole of Cyprus, which made our holiday even more enjoyable. We would happily return to this hotel and would definitely recommend it to others.
Overall, Mayfair Hotel offers very good value for money, especially for families.
The food was good, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean, tidy, and comfortable. There is a large parking area next to the hotel, and we were always able to find a parking space.
The location is convenient, with Kings Avenue Mall only about a five minute walk away. However, the promenade and some of the main tourist areas are around a 20 minute walk from the hotel. We visited in July, and the heat made these walks difficult, while taxis in Paphos were quite expensive.
The hotel has several swimming pools, and our young daughter absolutely loved them. The evening entertainment was also very enjoyable. The all inclusive bar offers free soft drinks and alcoholic drinks throughout the day until 11:00 PM.
The main downside was the sleeping arrangement. Our room was advertised for four people, with two beds in the bedroom and two sofa beds. The sofa beds were extremely uncomfortable. I slept on one of them for one night and woke up with pain all over my body.
Since the hotel has an apartment style concept, it would also be helpful to offer a more practical and better equipped kitchen area.
Despite these issues, we had a good stay, and the hotel provides a solid experience for the price.
I liked the rooms, they were big and nice. The A/C was good, and everything was clean and quiet.
The only suggestions I can give are to replace the bathtub with a shower (like in the smaller rooms on floor 4) and to provide a firmer mattress, as mine was very soft.
The food was good, and dinner was different every day. The snack bar and the two bars next to the pools were great; the kids loved them.
The pools were more than enough for us, a good pool for children with slides, another pool with shallow water, and two regular pools.
The location was nice: a 4-minute drive to the beach, a 5-minute walk to the big mall, and a 5-minute bus ride to the old city.
The staff was very nice and helpful.
Arrived at 1 am due to flight delay and on first impression the hotel looked nice. When we got to our room and put the lights on let’s just say it is not what we were expecting. Air con didn’t work properly and the noise from the fridge compressor and for the lack of sleep we had due to the discomfort of the beds. There was diesel tanks under our window which as you can imagine the smell. We are getting another room so let’s see what this one is like.
