Excellent hotel! Friendly staff, clean rooms, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back. Highly recommended!
The food was something bad, the rooms old and a smell of oil in the bathroom punching your nose, all the all inclusive drinks something really bad, for sure i will not recommend
Very good
PROS: Rooms were fairly clean, with regular cleaning, mopped floors and changed bed linen, although there were some cobwebs near the beds. Fast elevators, good central location and close to the beach. Restaurant staff were friendly and attentive.
CONS: Food for both the 3-star and 4-star hotels is served in the same 3-star restaurant. Very poor quality and extremely limited choice, with almost the same dishes every day. Even our grandparents struggled to find something to eat, so this was not about being demanding.
Desserts were mostly the same sponge cake with greasy cream in different shapes. The “baklava” was basically syrup-soaked pastry. The grill had very few options, and the kebab/burger meat tasted old.
Drinks were heavily diluted and fruit variety was very poor during our one-week stay. The afternoon snack was only ice cream or a strange bread-like “pizza” cooked on a grill, not in an oven.
The biggest disappointment was reception. I arranged a proposal surprise through Booking: champagne, cake and room decorations. I asked about the cost in advance and was told there was none, but reception later charged me. I gave the receptionist the date, time and room number, even tipped him, and was assured everything would be ready. Nothing was prepared. Another receptionist claimed they could not contact me about the room number, although it had already been written down and they had previously called my personal number. I had to collect the cake and champagne myself, and when I asked if I had to carry them to the room, the answer was a sarcastic “I suppose.” There were no decorations in the end.
The pool area was often very noisy. The lifeguard did little about noisy guests but shouted at people using inflatable rings, even when the pool was almost empty.
Soundproofing is very poor; you can hear almost every noise. The doors move when closed and use traditional keys instead of cards.
Both rooms had bathroom problems: water leaking from the toilet cistern and from the shower seal, flooding the bathroom floor. No room slippers were provided.
The rear card-access gate often malfunctioned and was closed from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM.
When I tried to contact the Riva Park Hotel, at the number provided, I got an angry aunt who told me not to call that number again and hung up on me. A second call followed, this time to the Riva Hotel, again in an attempt to contact someone about a reservation, but this time the man who answered was Russian-speaking and could not understand the questions I was interested in and answer them accordingly. 🤷🏼♀️
