We stayed at Theartemis Palace Hotel for the first two weeks of July, and we had an absolutely wonderful holiday.
The hotel itself is beautiful, the food was delicious with plenty of choice every day, and the location is perfect – just a short walk to the beach and the lovely old town of Rethymno.
What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the staff. We were a large family travelling together, and every single member of staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They were always friendly, professional, and happy to help, and nothing was ever too much trouble. Their kindness and genuine care made such a difference to our holiday and created memories we'll always cherish.
A huge thank you to everyone at Theartemis Palace Hotel for making our family holiday so special. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Crete, and we very much hope to return in the future.
We stayed at Theartemis with my mom for a week in October.
This was a very good hotel! Everything was nearby.
Our room had three beds and lots of space for our stuff. The room was a pool-view room but we could also see the ocean which was a nice surprise! Good water pressure in the shower. TV is easy to use and you can connect your phone to it.
The staff members were really polite and caring. The cleaning ladies always took care that we had everything we needed in our room. Thank you.
The lobby has a small shop where you can buy drinks, snacks and souveniers. Very convenient if you don’t want to leave the hotel.
Room service food is awesome and the diverse menu is a life saver if you don’t want to eat outside. The bar had many great cocktails and drinks which were very tasty! We tried the buffet one night and it was average, nothing special.
The pool area was big so you don’t have to worry about not getting a chair. The water in the pool was very cold 😂 but you get used to it and it was actually a good thing since it was very hot outside. The pool lights at night are gorgeous and we were fascinated by them with my mom on the first night.
The hotel also has a spa and we tried it on our last night here. The staff was very kind. They explained everything well and made sure that we were okay at all times. We had a 90 minute massage that included a scrubbing. This was my first time getting a massage and it was really good! I recommend trying their services.
Overall, a great experience. I highly recommend!
We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much to ask. The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. The pool areas are plenty big enough and drinks are served on request. The rooms were big and clean, and the bathrooms were fully equipped with things you need. The hotel is located close to the seafront, around a minutes walk. We came with another couple and it was perfect for all 4 of us.
Great facilities. Spotlessly clean throughout and the staff are extremely friendly and committed to making their guest’s stay as pleasant as possible.
Located near to the beachfront, 10-15 minutes walk from the Old Town.
Rooms are modern, spacious and comfortable and the pool area is great, with ample sun loungers.
The only negative is that the streets around TheArtemis Palace aren’t for those with mobility issues. Pavements and roads are barely safe to walk on with crumbling sidewalks and tightly parked cars which block the view on corners when you cross the road.
A great hotel with amazing and helpful staff. The rooms are nice and modern the pool areas are amazing. The location is very good close to the beach, a 2 minute walk away. Highly recommend especially if you book in advance.
