We had a comfortable stay at the Hotel, especially after an initial issue with our room was resolved. The location is excellent within walking distance of Riga Old Town, while the bus station is only around 5 minutes away, so we didn’t need to use public transport much. A special mention to Henry, who was absolutely wonderful. Our first room was in the new building and was an attic room with several issues, however we raised these with Henry, who listened carefully, spoke to the manager and arranged another room for us. The replacement room was beautifully decorated, spacious, immaculate and comfortable, with the perfectly working AC. We really appreciated how Henry handled the situation and made sure we were looked after. He is a real asset to the hotel. Breakfast the next morning was also very good, with lots of choice and plenty of options. One area that could be improved is the separation of vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. For example, potatoes were served in the same dish as bacon/sausage and covered with the same lid, condensation dripping onto the food. Overall, despite the problems with our first room, we ended up having a very pleasant stay. Thank you to Henry for his excellent hospitality and for turning a disappointing start into a comfortable experience.
Standard room for 2 people - bed is large, but limited space to move around it due to TV on wall. 1 chair provided.... Room clean and comfortable. Air con worked well. Bathroom good, some towels aged. Liked the water dispenser in the lift area. Gym good. Pool use not included - not clear at time of booking that this is considered part of the spa. Staff all very helpful and friendly. Breakfast really good.
We had a wonderful stay at Wellton Riverside SPA Hotel in Riga. As a family of four, we were pleasantly surprised to be given two connecting rooms with an internal door, which made our stay very comfortable and convenient. The hotel’s location is excellent, with all the major attractions within walking distance, making it easy to explore the city. The highlight of our stay was definitely the breakfast. Everything was freshly cooked, and there was a wide variety of delicious options to choose from every morning. The staff were welcoming, and the overall experience was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Riga, especially families looking for comfort, convenience, and a great location.
Modern hotel at the riverside with great breakfast. There were a few things that could be improved, though. The check-in took forever although all the data was already filled in when doing the booking on their website. It was easily 10+ minutes per person which also caused quite some queues in a very small lobby. The room itself looked ok, although the interior was a bit dark. The traffic on the street is quite heavy 24/7 so the noise level made it impossible to keep the window open. There is AC but the air itself feels somehow "old". Bathroom had some wear outs but it was clean. Breakfast on the other hand was amazing. The variety is wonderful, they also fry eggs and make pancakes for you. Breakfast was probably the highlight of the hotel for me. Did not use SPA so cannot comment on that.
This hotel Is perfect, for reasonable price, in the best part of the city for tourist. Direct in the city center to explore all highlights . Just5 min from the main bus/train/tram station where you can go everywhere to the city or abroad. Even bus 22 to airport Is going from this place. The hotel has nice lobby, good sized rooms, nice bathroom (the only negative Is the small hairdryer, if you will go out in windy Rigas weather, your hair will be dry quicker😉). The beds are comfortable, the TV working, the rooms are quite, you don't hear noise (we were in theback part), the staff is a bid friendlier then usuall in Latvia. We can recommend this hotel, we felt really well. The only real negative think I have to say are the carpets in the rooms and on the floors. They are dirty and need to be cleaned!
